The Official The Last Guardian Thread!!! - Page 2

I think SoTC is the only game from last gen I still want to play that I haven't yet. I haven't played ICO either, but SoTC is one I definitely want to play. I'm holding off tho hoping eventually it'll see a GOW collection type treatment.

Even with that said tho, I'm still very much looking forward to this game. I don't have to had played the previous 2 to know how much the fans of it responded to it. Plus I've seen a few videos of SoTC on youtube, and it looked awesome.

Personally, I think if done right this will hit the same nerve as Heavy Rain for me. Just an off the normal gaming path game that just scratches an itch most games can't, and in Heavy Rain's case it was an itch I didn't even know I had that bad.

More or less just subscribing to the thread tho so I can see when new info emerges.

If The Last Guardian follows Shadow of the Colossus' example, you won't have had to play either of the previous games to enjoy it. SotC is a very complete, satisfying experience on its own. Having played Ico enriches it a bit because there's a very small connection, but it's not necessary to have done so at all.

I'm sad that there hasn't been any new info about TLG. On the other hand, I love how Team ICO spends so much time on making their games as great as possible.

Why not both? I expected them to release news about both at once, possibly doing a duel release. In any case, I sincerely hope there's some news about the game at TGS, and it looks like there will be. I was disappointed that there was nothing at E3.

Yeah, I need to buy that too. Plus Okami, and Silent Hill 3, and many other PS2 games I might never play.

I still have my original copies of both ICO and SOTC games, I've said this many times, SOTC in my views is a Masterpiece, and very high, if not #1, on my list of all time greatest games, so you can just imagine how psyched I am for the HD versions, not to mention, the gorgeous, The Last Guardian!!!
