Default Battle of the Bands 6

We're back after Led Zeppelin dominated the competition in the last poll. Let's jump ahead a decade and look at the hairy glam/pop rock of the 1980s. The contenders are:

Bon Jovi

Guns 'N Roses

Def Leppard

Poison

Whitesnake

None of them do anything for me. But to be fair to Whitesnake and Def Leppard, both were formed in the 70s: the former after Deep Purple originally called it quits, and the latter were part of the NWOBHM of the late 70s.

Really? I admit only two of them I kind of like as guilty pleasures, but they all had a lasting impact on rock music and left a legacy, for better or worse. And I am under the impression they are popular, so we'll see how this thread does with others though.

GnR I think made the best music among those choices but they were miles behind their predecessors.

well, i cant deny their popularity, which has naturally allowed them to be part of rock and roll history...but regardless, none of them did anything i can enjoy. but then again, theres not much popular rock and roll that came after 1975 that i enjoy.

I must vote for Bon Jovi, because they survived the 80's with dignity.

As much as I love GnR (And I really, really, really, do) Bon Jovi for me. Their songs just got me through some rough times and plus I really do feel they are a bit underrated since people only concentrate on their 80's stuff.
