I want to know which company or companies do you think that should work on the CGI in this film.
Hulk has been confirmed to be in this film so does that mean Rhythm and Hues will have a big role? But Iron Man is also in the film so that surely means ILM will work on the film as well. We still don't know if Thor or Captain America will have companies other than R&H and ILM providing the CGI. So will Marvel chose to ditch some CGI studios for the favour of one or will they make some sort of deal where all the CGI studios work together on the film. |

ILM, Weta is good for environments such as Avatar, Kong, and LOTR, but ILM is best suited for making superheroes.

It's gotta be ILM. They can handle the most likely ridiculous amount of shots. WETA would be good too, but Marvel has a relationship with ILM already.

Who would have the rights to the Hulk's design in TIH? I'd prefer it if they kept that design but with ILM working on it.

That is why I asked if Marvel will have multiple CGI studios working together on the film. |

Is there something wrong with Rhythm and Hues? Why is everyone opting for ILM?

^Yeah I don't understand all the negativity toward R&H. I thought the cgi they did was fantastic. Now it wasn't a giant leap in improvement in comparison with ILM, but facial expressions for the Hulk did improve, in my opinion.
I'm fine if they choose ILM for stylistic and "artistic continuity" reasons, but not because R&H is inferior. |

R&H do a good a job, I just don't think they're as good as ILM. Hulk is only one part of an Avengers movie anyway.

In my opinion the cave scene has some photorealistic CGI. |

Well When I get home I'll have to do some research on ILM on youtube and see the kind of work they did. But if the case is that they are better then I would like to see them colloborate with R&H for the Hulk takes. Honestly either way is good with me I am not that picky just as long as the CGI is not a step back from the Original movies

I think R and H did a great job with TIH, I'm often one of those defending the job they did. However, I do suspect ILM could do a better job purely because of how experienced they are.

I say that a wet/rain photorealistic Hulk has been accomplished. Next is making a regular, dry Hulk look photorealistic. I think they were close in the campus scene to accomplishing it, especially when Blonsky is firing at Hulk and then the pair walk up to each other for the whole "Is that all you've got" talk. |

I'm just curious which studio did the effects for Ang Lee's Hulk? Let's face it, the Avengers is going to be a lot of CGI effects. Especially when it comes to the villain they'll have to fight.
As long as the effects look good and realistic it doesn't matter who does it. |

I wouldn't mind ilm, as long as hulks design is consistant with TIH, and they have to make sure hulk is solid and not flabbish.

I didn't think the Hulk was flabby in Ang's movie. He was just so bulky. The TIH's design was super ripped by contrast.

I'd like to see a Digital Domain and Framestore combo for The Avengers.
