That doesn't make any sense. By that standard an English person shouldn't play a German or a Russian. It happens all the time and it works. No reason the Chinese/Japanese thing wouldn't as well.

I agree, we see actors all the time from other countries play characters of different nationalites, watch Blackhawk Down some time, alot of those actors where from England and Austraila and they played better Americans than the American actors.
It's great to see Olivia Munn on board IM2, most likely she will be a tech reporter inviewing Stark, but her as Rumiko would be awesome, IMO.

The internet isn't that old......I used to have porno mags when I was a kid. Most houses didn't have the internet till like '97, and looking up porn sucked till cable and dsl came out

Flawed logic.

A causasian actor can play English, American, Australian, Russian, Scandanavian etc as their features are largely similiar. Chinese and Japanese people have different features and do not look the same. They are easily distinguishable. Same goes for Thai, Tibetan, Mongolian.............

Seriously, the logic that says orientals kinda look the same, meaning that a Chinese person can therefore play a Japanese person, is like saying an actor who has a tan can play a character who is half-caste.

Tell you what - try going up to a Chinese person and asking whereabouts in Japan they're from (or vice-versa) and see their reaction.

That should be fun.
