Secret Invasion - Essential [TPB] Readings?

I recently got back into comics and have caught up with things like House of M, Civil War, etc. I finished "Secret War" and just opened up New Avengers Vol 8: Secret Invasion Book 1. The "Previously" inside page explains a bunch of stuff I've missed. I'd like to know how the Skrulls invaded the Earth, and whatever other essential back story there is before I start reading what SI related TPBs I have.

What I currently have for Secret Invasion is: New Avengers Vol 8 & 9, Mighty Avengers Vol 3 & 4, Secret Invasion.

What other TPBs would you guys recommend me so I can fill myself in on all this, and not dive into the middle of it, confused and filled with questions.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Honestly, you don't NEED to read any of the backups. There were a couple Mighty Avengers issues which showed how Hank Pym was abducted, and the Skrull Queen taking Spider Woman's form, but that's about it. and even those weren't essential. They never showed how the Skrulls invaded. They were just suddenly out, and they've been here for a while.

You won't read anything and think "Oh, thank goodness I read that or else I'd be lost", ya know?

I would say SI 1-8 is all you need.
