LOL. That would be kind of funny.

I can see 47 is some sleazy orgy party or something and he ends up killing his mark with something like that. Not exactly sure i want to know how he'd do it, but if any one could kill someone with that, it would be 47.

This reminds me of a joke Demetri Martin did where he had dildos written on a pad and mentioned how he never had to pluralize dildo before and wrote it as ''dildoes''.

'Hitman: Absolution' to use 'Avatar' Performance Capture Technology

Quote:
Square Enix is taking a Hollywood approach to its fifth installment of IO Interactive's bestselling Hitman action game franchise, Hitman: Absolution, which is due out next year. The Danish game developer worked with a cast of a dozen Hollywood actors who brought their virtual characters to life using both performance capture and voice acting to add a more emotional level of interaction to the game.

Among the cast of actors, Keith Carradine (Cowboys & Aliens) will play the new villain in the game, Blake Dexter. Marsha Thomason (White Collar) will step into the role of Diana Burnwood, who serves as protagonist Agent 47's handler and has a close relationship with the assassin.
Source

Cool that Carradine will play/voice the new villain and it's pretty interesting that the new game will go for a cinematic take.

Yep, it looks like we'll be seeing Diana for the first time.

Quote:
"We had actors like Marsha and Keith come in and do full-body acting with facial and voice being captured simultaneously in scenes," said Tore Blystad, game director at IO Interactive. "Some of these scenes were very complex with all kinds of props and interactions amongst the actors."

Wow thats awesome. If its one thing the Hitman games havent been, its cinematic. That looks like it's changing.

Also, heres a quick article on the Glacier 2 engine that will be powering Hitman: Absolution:

Quote:
Hitman Absolution has just been announced - the game will launch on PC and HD consoles next year.

Glacier 2, IO's new proprietary engine will power all the studios games from now on, including Hitman Absolution's "distinctive art direction and highly original game design".
“glacier2 easily has potential to rival the best”

Glacier 2 "easily has potential to rival the best" according to Ben-Noon; no mean feat in a market featuring technology such as Unreal Engine 3, CryEngine 3, idTech 5 and the upcoming Frostbite 2.

"Without being able to tell you where and how far we will take specific new games, the engine technology that is glacier2 easily has potential to rival the best," Ben-Noon wrote on the Hitman forum in March.

"So while living up to you guys' expectations is no small task, at least we are making some changes and improvements that can actually take us there."

Hitman Absolution's in-game prowess will likely be shown off when it appears at E3 next month.

That the Glacier 2 engine rival the best engines makes me pretty interested to see how the game looks like, hopefully we get to see it at E3.

Yea i really cant wait to see the game in motion. I mean theyve used the same engine in Hitman ever since the game started.

I didn't know that they used the same engine since the first game. Good that they change to a new engine for the new installment in the series.

Yea, i mean even Blood Money was using the same thing that powered Silent Assassin and Contracts. Blood Money wasnt a true next gen title. This one will be the first next gen Hitman and im sure its going to be jaw dropping.

A few newish details:

Quote:
The main villain in Hitman: Absolution is Blake Dexter, played by Cowboys & Aliens star Keith Carradine.

- Agent 47's handler is Diana Burnwood, played by White Collar's Marsha Thomason(Or Naomi from LOST). Diana is said to have a "close relationship" with Agent 47, Hollywood Reporter revealed.

- "Diana is 47's only true human contact," Thomason said. "They've known each other an extremely long time, and in the Hitman world, she is what Q is to James Bond. So she sets the assignments, tells him where to go and who to kill."

- "The character I play in Hitman: Absolution is as multidimensional as any well-imagined character should be," Carradine said.

- "The vividness of the world entered by the gamer hinges on detail. To fully engage the attention of the player requires nothing less than the most completely realized universe of geography and personality."

- Developer IO is working with a dozen Hollywood actors for the hotly-anticipated game, due out next year. - Actors are required to provide performance capture and voice over work, conducted in Giant Studios, which James Cameron used for blockbuster movie Avatar.

- IO has captured "complex scenes" with up to seven actors on set at once. Absolution focuses on the emotional stories that evolve, director Tore Blystad said.

- "We had actors like Marsha and Keith come in and do full-body acting with facial and voice being captured simultaneously in scenes. - "Some of these scenes were very complex with all kinds of props and interactions amongst the actors."

- Absolution has been built "from the ground up" by IO using its new proprietary Glacier 2 technology.

- Blystad described it as "more stylised, more serious, and darker this time around in both the story line and the visuals".

- Agent 47 goes on different missions throughout the US, with part of the game taking place in Chicago.

- A new Hitman movie launches next year to coincide with the film. Daniel Casey (Jimmy Six) has written the script. The film is said to have an original story and characters, "but will retain the look and feel of the new game".

- "The hope is that the movie will be going in a similar direction, and then when they both come out they will speak the same language. They won't follow the old Hitman games, but rather go with this newer direction."

Is there an overarching narrative in Hitman? Or are they more or less stand alone?

Yes and no. There's a thin story that flows through all of them, but each game can easily stand on its own. Silent Assassins and Contracts are really the only two games that piggy back off of each other. I think Blood Money, minus a few returning characters, really is its own game completely.

All you need to know is that 47 is a clone of the worlds best killers. Dr Ort-Meyer is the guy who did all the cloning. Ort-Meyer then tried to kill 47, which only pissed 47 off and then 47 kills Ort-Meyer. Diana is 47's handler whom he's only ever met face to face once, which was at the end of Blood Money. Thats, thats about it.
