aliens/predator- both have an alien hunting humans. willow/golden child- evil forces after a child. mortal kombat/king of fighters- winner prevents realm from destruction. ray/walk the line-obviously biopics about musicians who were innovative in their respective genres. cj7/et- little kid finds an alien and hilarity ensues, kinda

Le Samourai, The Killer, and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. The second two are sort of homages to the first, though. All three are great in their own ways.

An initiative to use clones is rejected by the Council years ago. The Villians engineer a crisis so that the Council would be forced to use the clone army. A villain is also used as the template for the clones. All of this engineered by someone the Council trusts but whom is really a villain in the background who is playing both sides.
Star Wars Ep. II or Judge Dredd A group of people board a seemingly abandoned ship. Only a lone female survivor is found aboard. It is soon realised that a dangerous entity is onboard and starts killing everyone. Cliff Curtis has you thinking that he is somehow, the only actor who doesn’t know that this is all make believe: that’s how real his acting is. Guillermo del Toro is one of my favorite directors, but Blade 2 and Hellboy 2 are incredibly similar, mostly due to the villain.
Most obviously, Luke Goss plays the villain in both. Both Goss villains - Nomak and Nuada, are princes who murder their fathers. The villain's sister becomes a love interest for one of the heroes. The villain tempts the hero into joining his fight.

That new movie "The Roommate" looks like it's the exact same movie as "Single White Female".

The Spy Who Loved me had a similar plot and female agent to From Russia With Love, and the part where they reached the villain's lair was basically You Only Live Twice underwater instead of in a volcano, and he was stealing submarines instead of spaceships.

_ King Kong (1933) and Jean Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast have a lot in common. They are basically more or less the same story told in a different way and they are both awesome.

The Three Amigos
Galaxy Quest Tropic Thunder Are you aware that both of those books are by the same author? That doesn't excuse the similarity, of course. Isn't there a quote from the director character at the end of King Kong that directly acknowledges Beauty and the Beast? Last edited by BruceWanner; 03-12-2012 at 08:42 PM. |

I know in the 1933 version Carl Denham says.
"No, Twas Beauty that killed the beast" I think it might be the last line in the film. Not sure. Haven't seen it in a while. Guess its time for a rewatch.

That was also the last line in the Jackson one.
I thought of another one. The plot of the first Mortal Kombat movie (and game) is based on Enter the Dragon.
