I watched this yesterday and is watching it as I type. This show is similar to the MTV version of Twilight.

When I first saw the TV spots to this I just thought the CW was trying to capitalize off Twilight. But the creator says Vampire Dairies was a book. So I'm gonna look into that to see if that's true or false.

I watched the premier and thought it was okay. Not great. Not as good as Buffy or Angel, or even Blade, but okay. I'll give it a chance for a while. It might get better, it might get worse, I'll just wait to give it my final judgement until after they've had a chance to sink or swim.

I checked out the pilot. It was ok I guess. I then checked out the book summaries on wiki, and I will not be watching this show.

I was thinking that this show might be more in line with Buffy or Angel, but it looks like it's just about a love triangle between two vampire brothers and the main chick.

I watched a couple of episodes and i disagree. True, their is a kind of love triangle but there is a more to it than that. Also the Damon character is a bad ass villain. I'm always rooting for the villain so i may be biased but the guy is awesome.

If you like vampires, witches and all that supernatural stuff you should check it out. The story is a lot better than i expected. Also the Damon character is great.

For every character I like in True Blood there are 2 that I hate

The only characters from True Blood I like are Eric, Jason, and Lafayette.

Here I like everyone except Bonnie and Caroline

Agreed.
Also Damon is a good bad guy, he isn't full evil, behind his badassery he has a heart.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one enjoying this show and god knows I am not a fan of teenagers drama

Damn got so much better once he got over Kathrine & all his focus went to killing her. Although he better hope that Elena better not find out that he had no problems with & tried killing Kathrine after finding out Elena would die as well

To be fair to Damon, he only slammed Katherine against the wall to keep her there till Bonnie had broke the spell, that way he could stake her after Elena was safe, he even says so after Stefan tries to stop him.
