Plus we have no guarantee that the ring would work on Jeremy considering that he is an entity of the Supernatural now. I'm pretty sure that was rule regarding the ring. Either that or he had to be killed with the cause coming from a supernatural being. Even so being Hunter very few people could have actually killed him so he prolly ft confident to be without the ring.

Well, considering a Hunter was once killed by Elena - who is all around unanimously agreed to be the most ineffective <insert whatever kind of being she was, is and ever will be> - that should have clued him in that being a Hunter doesn't make him so tough.

But only by sheer luck. Most of the times, her schemes don't work as planned and someone else has to wind up salvaging the situation and/or rescue her.


On a separate note, just going to make a comment about the cure that surprisingly hasn't been pointed out yet. Everyone on the show seems to be clamouring about how it's their ticket out of vampirism. Yet, it was meant to cure Silas, who as far as we know isn't a vampire, of his immortality. Meaning, all we know it does is cure immortality.

However, vampirism consists of a little more than just plain immortality. Moreover, nothing that we've seen or heard about the cure actually indicates that it can bring someone back to life or reverse the other effects of vampirism. Meaning, any vampire who takes it could very well simply find him/herself still a vampire; except one who ages. If given to Klaus (or another Original), it could very well doom his entire lineage as now, he will age and eventually die; taking the rest of them with him.

it looks like silas is some sort of vampire warlock since he was dessicated like vampires and needed to feed on blood to be revived.

in a preview for next weeks ep he heals shane's broken leg, so it wouldn't surprise me if at the end of the next episode, some shadowy figure (silas) revives jeremy.

If they want to trim the cast, Tyler isnt one that I would trim. This show may be called The Vampire Diaries but we have a bit to many vamps,

Eh. Should things go well (and I hope they do), we'll be free of three vamps by the end of the season. Outside of them, there's just Elena, Damon, Stefan and Caroline. They'd never kill off a member of the triangle, and I don't want to lose Caroline, so the main cast vamps get a stay of execution as far as I'm concerned.

i could see them killing off one of the triangle, but not permanently.

i think 2 of them died in the books for a short while.

All I know is that I expect them to let one of the brothers move on from their Elena lovin ways next season. 4 straight years is already pushing the limits.

Yeah he must have grabbed him immediately after he was freed. I'm glad they've finally freed Elena from her constant emotional BS. And Jeremy is dead at least for a while so yay!

I was surprised by the song at the end. That was used in Son's of Anarchy. Never thought I would hear a song from Sons on The Vampire Diaries.

Name of the song is Family by Noah Gundersen. I'd link to it, but it uses the F-word once. Really good song but its sad.

TVD's taste in music is always fairly good. I'm not too surprised for there to be a bit of musical crossover between the two shows.

And as pleased as I am for there to be less emotional melodrama from Elena from here on out, that was some solid acting from Dobrev tonight.

They do use decent music but its more of the current generations speed. Pop, alt rock and the like. Noah is outside that wheelhouse I would have thought.
