Storm Shadow? WTF?

Why in the hell would they kill off Storm Shadow? That is the most absurd thing to happen in films since Burton killed The Joker in '89. Completely pointless and ridiculous. Am I missing something somewhere? Please fill me in.

Snake-Eyes killed him in the G.I.Joe: Resolute special. That worked too. In the comics Baroness executed Storm Shadow on the beaches of Cobra Island. But through the use of a ninpo, and Dr. Mindbender's Serpentor program, he was revived. How much dumber is that?

I don't think he's dead. They purposely left it ambiguous by not leaving a body.

He can still use his super ninja powers to survive his wounds and the icy cold of the antartic :P

Sorry, I figured since this was the spoiler section you knew what you were in for when clicked the link.

Anyway

It works for a comic to go back and fourth with death. Like Snake Eyes in #7, something about the mind and body and the ability to keep the spirit alive and what not, but I don't think Sommers is down for that kind of thing. I don't see serpentor anywhere in the near future on film. What MAJOR reason would Cobra have for bringing him back from the dead and why would the Joe's. I just really figured they would let him switch up and become a Joe in the second to maybe go back to Cobra in the third. Hell, Shadow is a vital character in the Joe lore for me. Besides Cobra Commander he is the most recognizable character.

SS is not dead. No way. they have so many ways to bring him back.

1.SS can use a special survive underwater ninja trick. Snake-eyes did something like it in the comics.
2. The nanites, could be in his system.
3. Dr. Mindbender could still be alive and pick him up.

Im sure he'll be revived with the use of nanites. I hope he comes back in the sequel and I also hope the costume design of snake eyes changes. That "mouth" was really weird looking and it made it hard for me to look at snake eyes.

I am going to boycott this movie and protest with picket signs because of that mouth. It's an abomination to all mankind. I will never stop until they digitaly remove that mouth. That mouth just ruined my childhood.

Storm Shadow is not dead. He'll return. All the actors have options for sequels afterall.

So Storm Shadow the Nanite ninja? It's just weird. So lets give everyone nanite and than who cares if they die cause they can come back to life later. Basicaly it would just be a bunch of immortal people shooting each other and than coming back and shooting each other some more? Where is the emotional attachment? Kill some of the others or leave a cliffhanger. Don't put a sword through a beloved characters chest and than drop him in freezing cold water.
