Watch Breaking Bad's first season and then ask again.

Sadly, I couldn't find the turtle scene as a further demonstration of what AMC can get away with...

The BBC has a show called Waking the Dead. It's a crime drama, so not at all like The Walking Dead.

I'm working on finding out about opportunities for zombie extras when the Walking Dead pilot starts filming here in Atlanta next month.

So, I'm reading this (and loving it) and, I think The Walking Dead is a show you don't have to take huge chunks out of to fit into the comic. I mean, I hope the first season does well enough to where we get a 18 episode season (or a double digit season at least).

Wow, a whole day of no posting. :/

Anyways, after getting more familiar with Dale, I'd say Sam Anderson would be a perfect Dale.

They're filming in Atlanta? Awesome. I was worried they'd go to Vancouver or something and try to dress it up like Georgia. Great to know they're actually using Georgia instead.

EW.com has some great casting news!

Exclusive: Sarah Wayne Callies Joins 'Walking Dead'
by Andy Patrick
Categories: Casting Scoops, Uncategorized

This just in: Prison Break fave Sarah Wayne Callies has just scored the female lead in AMC’s eagerly anticipated The Walking Dead series, based on Robert Kirkman’s megapopular comic books!

The Ausiello Files fave will portray Lori Grimes, the slowly-unraveling wife of the show’s hero, Rick (Andrew Lincoln). Which oughta be a nice stretch for her: How do you play disturbed by zombie gore and such after you’ve already played someone who was beheaded? (Yes, I know, it was a hoax!)

lulz, I'm sure she'll find out eventually. Then again, they could do it differently in the show to keep the comic fans from being insufferably smug like we tend to get.

But if that happens, then I won't get to act all smug when it happens and I can't be all, "I totally knew that would happen"!

Damn it being smug is part of the comic book reader's bill of rights!

I went on a tour of New Orleans' Garden District that Nicholas Cage went on. His old house was part of it, which is in fact why he went on the tour in the first place.

No, he went on the tour like years before I did. The tour guide told us the story 'cause she was all excited about her brush with celebrity. She told Cage his house was haunted.

Oh, first time reading? Awesome. I remember reading through the 30 first or so issues in one sitting.

Sweet casting news above!! I loved Prison Break and loved Sarah Wayne Callies on there. Everything seems to be shaping up pretty nice. I can't wait to see who they get for Tyreese or Andrea.

I especially can't wait to see who they get for the Governor. Robert Knepper would be good but too obvious and too close to his Prison Break character. Josh Holloway, though, would be interesting to see in the role.

Happy birthday, and you're in for a sweet ride. I just caught up to volume 11 of the trade paperbacks.
