Ugh, Chris and Thara's new costumes are ugly as sin. What was wrong with their old, simpler logos? Maybe it's just the artist, though, 'cause Mon-El also looks dumb there.

Those are bad. I really liked their first ones. How many costumes are these two going to have?
Also, I haven't even heard of worlds finest. Is that an ongoing?

It's a miniseries. It's the new Superman status quo meeting the new Batman status quo, basically.

The Nightwing and Flamebird costumes wouldn't have been that bad if the logos were better.
Mon-El on the other hand...

Flamebird's face on that cover scares me.
World's Finest is a really cool idea. I'm glad they're doing it. I'd be more glad if either cast had more characters I actually gave a crap about, but I'll still pick it up. Splitting the JSA off into two teams is a good idea given the size of the cast. But you couldn't pay me to read a comic with the younger cast and the older cast is being written by Bill Willingham, who's infamous for flagrantly ignoring paltry things like continuity or established personalities. I suppose I'll give Willingham's comic a try to at least see how he's handling Alan, Jay, Ted, Mid-Nite, and Mr. Terrific.

Full Solicits are up:

![]() Power Girl is MIA, I assume that's just missing a month. Unless it only made it to issue 6 before getting axed, which would not surprise me I thought this was the month that Blackest Night: Wonder Woman was suppose to start. Oh well

I've been wondering who the detective is as well but I think Wagner's using Golden Age characters. Spectre and Green Lantern (Scott). It's probably someone from the JSA.

That's true, but depending on the time period we could still potentially see J'onn as John Jones. I don't really know what year(s) that is to the current canon, but it's possible

Well, I guess I have to pick up World's Finest, if nothing else.
EDIT: Forgot I still read Secret Six too. And, damn, that has to be the greatest picture of Deadshot I've ever seen.

J'onn was drawn to Earth in or before the Golden Age in current continuity, I think. So it could easily be Detective John Jones in Madame Xanadu's comic. Wagner likes to insert recognizable DC characters into that series. Although, to be honest, I was kind of hoping we might see a bit more of the Sandman before this current arc ended. Oh well.
Oh, and I have a strong hunch that the new Batgirl is Misfit based on that cover and solicit.
