There's some stuff I hope never happens in the actual anime, because honestly all of those transformations are ridiculous, but as a fan project it has pretty solid production values. And I don't mind what if takes. I really hope they continue to do these Episodes and smoothen out their animation. Would be great to see where they are 20 Episodes from now, if they even continue that long.

Going through youtube, I discovered the Episode of Bardock. Probably already old news to all of you, but I never knew about it. Is it supposed to be canon or just an what if take?

They're done with the Frieza saga and just finished up the Garlic Jr saga in one tear/laughter inducing episode.

Speaking of Abridged, has everyone already seen this Death Battle Episode? It's already old, it's Vegeta vs Shadow from Sonic, and the guy who does Vegeta in Abridged voices him in the Death Match.

So, I finally came up with a name for my Dragonball Z "scientification rewrite". Decided to call it Saiyan Fighters Z. Not very creative...but it was the best I could do, I'm fine with it.

The preview was pretty cool. Can't wait to see the rest.
I didn't start looking at Death Battle until you posted that preview. Very funny stuff! Thanks! |

HA! It's Abriged Goku voice!
I love that guy's voice for Goku. They also put in the Kaiowhat-PUNCH running gag that the Abriged series does.

"We can't fight, we gotta...!" lol. Is the video really supposed to be 30 minutes long? Was that a rumor? I hope not.

I'm watching DBZ right now (Perfect Cell saga) but once I'm done with it I guess I can give DBZ Abridged a shot. I'm always iffy with abridged series.

I'm a DBZ fan, but trust me, the abridged is worth it. It's good for the first couple of episodes, then becomes funnier and better until eventually it's great and you find yourself checking youtube everyday for a new video lol

Cell Saga would be the ideal conclusion to a Dragonball film trilogy. Especially if you had King Piccolo and the Red Ribbon Army as the villains in the first film. I would keep Cell in his "monster" form. Its visually distinct from the DBZ villains that came before Cell whereas his 2nd form looks a bit silly and his 3rd form is reminiscent of Frieza.

I agree, Cell Saga is the ideal ending. I'm curious. If Piccolo and the RR army are villains in the first film and Cell is the villain in the third, who is the villain in the second? |

If they really felt the need to make more movies for it, split it into 2 film franchises: Dragonball and Dragonball Z. Have the Dragonball films focus on Goku taking on the RR Army in the 1st movie, the remnants of it in the 2nd movie with them releasing King Piccolo, and then have Piccolo Jr. as the villain in the last film.
Connect that to the Dragonball Z series with the saiyans coming to earth, all 3 of them, and leading to a 2nd film with them going to Namek and dealing with Frieza, and a 3rd film involving them coming back to a planet under attack by the Androids and, if need be, Cell. It's not a perfect idea in any way, but it's something I suppose. Food for thought and all that.

I agree. Dragonball should be two film trilogies. The problem is if those two film trilogies are actually successful, you know Hollywood would f**k it all up by adapting a the Majin Buu saga and adding GT to it.

Vegeta and Nappa, then Frieza. Vegeta and Nappa are sent to Earth on Frieza's orders to either capture or destroy the Earth's dragonballs. Nappa is totally devoted to Frieza; Vegeta is more in the middle. He suspects Frieza may be behind the destruction of the saiyan homeworld, but isn't totally sure. So he's worked his way up in Frieza's ranks as a loyal henchman to ensure his survival.
