Seems like that, i'm not fond of the villain's design (maybe the villain is even the guy in the middle) but the film is written by Akira Toryama, set after the Buu arc, confirmed canon and funded by Japan. And i heard they were trying to release it worldwide, so the film surelly sounds promising

Why is Gohan SSJ!?

It's hard to make him out but the guy in the middle looks reminiscent of Kaioshin. Can't see who that is between Goten and Gohan either, and there's no sign of Uub.

I thought the guy in the middle far back of the poster was Tien, tbh.

That's Tenshinhan between Gohan and Vegeta, the Kaioshin lookalike i meant is the guy in the air between Goku and the rabbit dude. Still can't make out who's right under Gohan's armpit tho.

anyone purchase any of FigurArts figures? they are pretty good, almost like the Anime Hot Toys? So far as I know they have made Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Cell, Future Trunks, Super Saiyan, and also soon they will be including Frieza (last form) Nappa, Vegeta (Saiyan Saga form) and Krillin.

So I just watched the later episode of DBZ abridged and I'm in tears laughing from it!

I love that they"covered" Garlic Jr. in one episode and it wasn't even about him. I'm so glad because that arc sucked.

I'm surprised. I had no idea DBZ was making a new movie until recently. Personally, I liked that the saga ended with Buu (I would have preferred it to end with Cell). It took forever for the gang to beat him.

Anyone else kinda hoping the new villain doesn't have a transformation? Just to make him different.

Goku estimates Dabura as being on par with Cell, and Vegeta is very confident that he could wipe the floor with him. Vegeta states himself though that even though he had trained as hard as he could, there was still a massive gap between himself and Goku which he realised when Goku turned SSJ2 against Yakkon. Goku had clearly maxed out, or was close to it, SSJ2 because he had achieved SSJ3, so Vegeta used Babidi to close that gap for him. So Vegeta must've been at the lower end of SSJ2 before becoming Majin.

I think he was at least equal to Kid Gohan, if not slightly stronger. This is based on his general confidence in facing Goku and Gohan in the Budokai.

So, lately I've been thinking that I liked the more sci-fi elements to the DBZ, moreso than the mystical stuff. I've been wanting to write, a re-invisioned DBZ universe, where it's just with the sci-fi elements. Androids, aliens, advanced tech, etc. I haven't thought too much into what other things I'd keep or remove, like characters and such. But I did think about how I could fusion in the story. I came up with the idea that Goku and Vegeta could like...donate their blood and genes to Professfor Brief, Bulma's dad, and he could grow them a fused body, Gogetha, or Veggito. Then all they would need to do is plant their souls in the body to use it. Guess you can say it's like Avatar or something. Idk, it's mainly all just thinking to myself and whatnot. What do you think?

DBZ definitely has a sci-fi edge to it. Your idea isn't bad. I figured there would be a device that fuses Goku and Vegeta together for a limited time and separates them if damaged.
