^He said he was going to have a break though which may have been a benefit giving them more time to get a story together.
Anyway, anyone know if the UK will be getting the Imax version of the movie on Blu-ray.

I have one of the BRRips (though i will definitelly buy the movie when it comes out). From what i've seen the movie has a few extra clips, like the IMAX edition. As for the IMAX effect of having a widder image, isn't that lost when encoding this kind of video file? Isn't the aspect ratio of the file fixed, causing the widening screen effect to be lost? I'm no specialist but that's how i understand it. The source BR disc may have that effect but its lost in the encoding process.

Looks like we have to wait till the retail release... even if someone finds a BRRip and it has IMAX scenes in it, it doesnt mean the extra scenes are switching ratios like TDK

Err... i havent watched TDK wit switching ratios, so is there really a difference? It seems like in normal Blu-ray mode, the visual is fantastic, and it can go further into IMAX mode?

If you have the TDK Bluray, and you don't see the switching ratio........ then you definately have a pirated copy.

So, had everybody confirmed that only Walmart will carry the Bluray with IMAX shots?? That is strange nonetheless |

Interesting comments in this particular thread about the commentary on Revenge of the Fallen. This is the feature I'm most curious about in this package...

I have the blu ray version of Revenge of the Fallen, and I hate to be the one to disappoint everyone but it does not have the IMAX version on it and aspect ratio does not change like the The Dark Knight version...
Still amazing picture quality and a great movie if you're a fan of the film but I was saddened to see that its not the extended version...

I just saw G.I. Joe.......... people must be crazy to think GI Joe was better than TF2. TF2 was way better.
GI Joe sucked arse, really bad. Even the action sequence where soooo stupid, and terribly CGI. |

^ agreed, it looked too much like a made for tv movie from the sci-fi channel, lol, but that's not my biggest gripe with the film, it's what they done to the good ol commander, I let changes slide in TF1&2 but I couldn't accept what they done in the live action G.I.Joe movie.

That's what I was thinking with G.I.Joe it's like they made tons more changes and disregarded whether they were following the cartoon or comic continuity and to think Larry Hama was hired as consultant.
