As is pretty obvious, Thundarr The Barbarian is one of my all time favorite cartoons. And as is quite obvious by all the posts in the Thundarr The Barbarian movie threads, there are a lot of other fans of the show on here as well. Well, this thread is for all us fans. Anything Thundarr related, go ahead and post it here. Your favorite episodes? Post it here. Fan art? Post it here. Weblinks? Post them here. I'll start...

I've been writing a Thundarr fan fiction. I call it Thundarr The Barbarian And The Lost Children. It's a crossover story where Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla meet the kids from the Dungeons & Dragons animated series. I've recently posted it on the Fandom Come board. Take a look if you like. I think you'll probably enjoy it. Send me a PM and tell me what you think. Or you can post your opinions/suggestions on this thread. Don't be shy, I invite your comments/criticisms. You can find it here...

Here's an interesting site I've stumbled across recently. Aparently a Thundarr fan (I'm guessin from Spain or Mexico because the site is mostly in Spanish) decided to Photoshop some posters for a Thundarr movie. They actually look pretty cool, and some of his casting choices aren't bad (Peter Weller as Gemini? I could see that). Anyway, here's the link.

If you want to take part in the Thundarr Movie discussions, here are the links:
http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=304520 AND http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=264997 And here's another really cool picture of Princess Ariel I've found on the net. I think it's very remeniscent of the work of Frank Frazetta.

My favorite episodes:
1) Secret Of The Black Pearl: This was the world premier, very first episode of the series. It had a great story, plenty of action, and an awsome & scary villain in Gemini. 2) Den Of The Sleeping Demon: This episode also has a great story. We find out that Thundarr and his friends aren't alone in their fight against the wizards when they meet Shara The Barbarian and her companion Merlik The Sorcerer. 3) Battle Of The Barbarians: Thundarr meets one of his toughest opponents in the form of Vogarr The Barbarian, when Vogarr is hired by a wizard to keep him from disrupting the wizards plans. This is also the episode where we learn that Princess Ariel is Chinese (or at the very least Asian). 4) Last Train To Doomsday: This one was probably Thundarr's toughest challenge in the whole series. It's also the only episode where a previously defeated wizard (Gemini) returned to seek revenge. My least favorite episode: Trial By Terror: I don't really dislike any episodes of Thundarr, but this is probably the one I liked the least. First of all, it was such a weak episode. The wizard Artemis was not very intimidating at all, and magically he was pretty pathetic. Secondly, it was the last new episode to ever air in the history of the entire series. We weren't even given a decent sendoff. It wouldn't have been so bad if it were Last Train To Doomsday or one of the other good episodes from season 2, but instead we get this weak piece of crap. |

Thundarr, Battle Of The Barbarians is my fave episode, but I love watching all the episodes, and wish it were available on DVD.

I love watching them all too. I have them all on DVD (bootlegs), and watch them often. There's an online petition to have the series released on DVD. I don't know how much good it'll do, but if you want to sign it there's a link on www.thundarr.com. |

Some of those weblinks I posted on my first post are for Thundarr bootlegs. I can't vouch for their quality, but if you want to have Thundarr on DVD right now that's your only option.

Hey, no problem. In fact I've posted a bunch of links on those other Thundarr Movie threads. And I've finally gotten over my writers block that's been keeping me from finishing my Thundarr The Barbarian & The Lost Children story. Use the above link to check it out on the Fandom Come board. I'm not sure I like the term "cyberbandits" for a group of cyborg highwaymen though. Sounds kinda like a group of internet hackers. But it'll do until I can come up with a better name. |

Well, I've finally finished chapter 8 of my Thundarr fan fic. The rest of the story should hopefully flow fairly smoothly from here on out.

I remember when I was kid I used to wish I had a set of Thundarr action figures, but no one ever came out with them. Now, about 30 years later, you can order them through Toynami. They only make Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla though. If I wanted to play with them (I'm too old for that now, so I don't, but if I did), there'd be nothing for them to do. Pretty boring toys if you ask me.
My friends and I would also pretend we were the characters from Thundarr. Nowadays it's call LARPing, back then we just called it playing. Of course we didn't wear costumes or anything, we just imagined ourselves as the characters. I did have the hilt of a broken plastic toy sword that I used as my Sunsword though. |

Chapter nine of my fan fic is complete, and I've just uploaded a picture of Sabien (at least who I believe is supposed to be Sabien).

I've started a new thread on Fandom Come specifically set up for critiquing fan fics and fan films. Feel free to log in there and post your opinions on my fan fics Thundarr The Barbarian & The Lost Children and Thundarr The Barbarian in Return Of The Pirate Queen. By the way, I'd like to apologize to those of you who are disappointed that I haven't posted anything on my sequel to the episode Treasure Of The Moks. I have the story all worked out in my head, I just want to finish posting the Thundarr/Dungeons & Dragons crossover story first.

There's a Thundarr drinking game called "Demon Dogs!". I can't access it from my Blackberry. I'll try from a proper computer tomorrow and post the rules here.

I've found a website with R/X rated fan art of Ariel, Ookla, and Thundarr. I don't think I should post the link here, as there are kids who can log on too easily. For the same reason I won't actually post the pictures here either. I might lose my posting priveleges. But if anyone who's 18+ years old wants to see them, send me a PM and I'll send you the link.

Another episode I'm kinda on the fence about is Prophesy Of Peril. The story itself is really cool, but the wizard looks like a complete h*m*. The guy wears pink tights from the neck down and a motorcycle helmet on his head. Then he goes out and attacks the women of the prophesy in his warship, which has a huge replica of his face on the front of it. If they made him look as cool as Gemini and didn't give his warship such a lame look, the episode would've been much more enjoyable. |

My apologies for the last post. That weblink was supposed to be hidden by the spoiler icon. I don't know why it wasn't, but if it isn't gonna work for me then you'll just have to PM me for the link.

Someone posted a revue of my fan fic Thundarr The Barbarian & The Lost Children. Unfortunately he posted it on the story thread itself. I just want to remind everyone that this thread here and the one entitled Critics Corner are the places to post comments, not on the story thread.
