I made a similar thread last year. 2008 was the first year I kept count and I saw 30 flicks in theaters. For 2009, I reached the 30 mark early. I got there last night with Paranormal Activity and I'll break my record on Friday with Where the Wild Things Are.
So how many different movies have you seen in theaters this year? Give a number and list if you'd like. Here's mine: 1. Notorious 2. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans 3. Friday the 13th 4. Watchmen 5. He's Just Not That Into You 6. The Last House on the Left 7. Fast & Furious 8. Dragonball Evolution 9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine 10. Star Trek 11. Terminator Salvation 12. Drag Me To Hell 13. Up 14. The Hangover 15. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 16. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 17. Away We Go 18. The Ugly Truth 19. The Proposal 20. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra 21. District 9 22. Halloween 2 23. The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard 24. Gamer 25. Extract 26. Jennifer's Body 27. Whip It 28. Zombieland 29. Couples Retreat 30. Paranormal Activity

Plus, as I indicated, the actual list of what I had to pay for is considerably shorter.

Some of you guys have seen more movies this year than I've wanted to see (and not just in theaters) for the entire decade.

I paid for 14 movies. Underworld 3, Taken, Star Trek, Terminator 4, Drag Me to Hell, The Hangover, Transformers 2, Bruno, Funny People, G.i Joe, The Hurt Locker, Halloween 2, Gamer, and jennifer's body.
I've seen 57 movies this year overall, and counting.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire this year but didn't count it since it was a December 2008 release. And I've seen several of the movies on my list multiple times; I just counted the different ones.
I'm very iffy on IMAX after seeing Paranormal Activity last night. I saw it on an IMAX screen and it gave me a huge headache because our seats were too close. I've never seen a true IMAX movie but I doubt I'd want to now unless I could sit in the very back row. It kills my head to have to continuously move my eyes around the screen.
