I have to put forward the tramp behind the diner in Mullholland Drive. It's crazy because it is forewarned yet still scares you half to death!

This was a jump scare more than anything but I remember how I wasn't expecting the Bat impersonators body to hit the window when mayor Garcia was looking through it and giving Dent a monologue in TDK.

The alien being caught in the Brazilian home video of the birthday party is still pretty chilling for me.

I remember I saw it in a full theater and people were freaked out.

One moment I loved (and it wasn't a jumpy moment just creepy) is the tracking scene in Insidious when the mother is walking through the house. It's a blink and you miss it moment, but as she walks by the laundry room, the little ghost boy is in the far corner of the screen staring at the wall not moving. Creeped me out.

Maybe not the same kind of shocking, and maybe its been mentioned...but the elevator scene in the Departed.

I agree on this one too.I think it was bc of the slow build of the music along with the anticipation of seeing something we were waiting for in the movie.

The cabinet scene from Paranormal Activity 2, I've never heard a theater scream louder. I almost flipped out of my chair myself.

This is pretty pathetic to admit but it did make me jump.

SM1
The bulter (I think) finds Norman on the floor after he first becomes GG and asks what he did last night and there is a one second flash of Norman in the lab. Made me jump first time I saw it.

I don't think anything makes me jump anymore. But the transformation scenes in Carpenter's The Thing are still pretty shocking. Same with the ending of Cronenberg's The Fly.

Final Destination

When the girl is standing in the street and the bus hits her. The entire cinema audience jumped and then cracked up laughing like, 'yeah, you got me'

God, that was tense too. When I first saw it, I was like a ball in my seat. That movie has great tension.

Haven't seen that movie in a long time, but yeah, that last scene is ridiculous.

The Forgotten

The FBI chick sees a guy. She shoots him a bunch of times. He does not fall or get hurt or bleed. She runs outside to talk to the main character. Then suddenly you hear a loud ass sound

The FBI agent chick gets tossed into the sky & disappears

Not so much a movie as it is a TV show, but the intro to Tales From The Crypt got me every time as a kid, especially at the end when

In Apocalypto when Jaguar Paw kills Middle Eye. That wet thud when JP clubs his face off always makes me cringe a bit, but it's awesome. Also when he kills Zero Wolf with the tapir trap. Daaaaaaaamn

The Batman impersonator landing right in front of Mayor Garcia in The Dark Knight, and Billy Costigan and Sullivan's deaths in The Departed.
The arm surgery scene in 127 Hours still gets me uneasy, too.
