I'm assuming you're pretty young (correct if wrong) so that said:

1. Marvel Adventures Spider-Man is perfectly friendly for any age and content. I'd also check out Ultimate Spider-Man (the large omnibuses are quite cheap and have a lot of content) and that's pretty age appropriate.

2. Check out Ultimate Spider-Man first, Ultimate Comics is a continuation of that, and if you dig the first you'll like the later, I'm off because of the price tag personally though, but from what I've seen it's pretty good. More of the same though.

3. I'm gonna say 16 for an intern. But that'll be a hard job to get.

Welcome to the boards.

Aloha,
Welcome to the Hype.
Along with the suggestions made, you also have Marvel Age Spider-Man and and Marvel Adventures Spider-Man. You might also want to show your parents the Classic Amazing Spider-Man books that are in trade and HC.The earliest Spidey comics are in softcover as Marvel Masterworks. If you look on Amazon.com, you'll see a bunch of Spider-Man books geared for under 16 yr olds.

You need to earn some kinda school credit to get in as an intern at Marvel. That doesn't guarantee you a future paying job with them, though.

Welcome to the boards man! So you wanna write for marvel huh? Go for it man. Just one piece of advice, write write write. Your young so you have plenty of time to perfect your craft. I'm only 22 and i just started writing seriously recently, i wish i had started writing when I was your age. Dont waste time and write as much as you can. Enter contests and submit your work. Eventually you'll get noticed if your good. Good luck man.

Also, don't just write comics and don't just write one genre. Write everything and anything.

Page 4-
Panel 1- Ben Romanoff, (the black widow II), Looks out the big window at the Avengers bachelor pad. He is holding a picture of his mother in his hand.

Panel 2- Bruce opens the door and slams it shut. he is really mad now.
Dr. Bruce Banner
Can you believe that they’re hosting the New York comic book convention at our headquarters?! This is so ^%$#@* up!!!
Panel 3- Ben faces Bruce. He throws his hands up in the air.
Ben Romanoff
Will you shut the hell up?! All I ask for is a few minutes of damn peace and quiet!

Panel 4- Steve Rogers III walks into the room.
Steve Rogers III
What the *^%$ is goin’ on out here? Can’t I have at least one more hour of sleep? It’s a Saturday for crying out loud!

Panel 5- Bruce storms out of the room and into another room that leads to his laboratory.
Dr. Bruce Banner

You're almost 13? I've been reading Spider-Man since I was 5 and I turned out okay (no jokes please)! At your age I think I was already on 'Vertigo' books like Preacher (Ah, the upbringing of a liberal household ). Maybe the books are a bit more mature these days, but I still say All Ages for Spider-Man. Your parents shouldn't try and stifle your creative yearnings. If you're old enough to type a coherent message on a Spider-Man forum, you're definitely old enough to read one of his comics. It's not gonna traumatize you. That's what Junior High is for!

No and no. At least not these days. IF you really want to read that series, start with the trade paperbacks and collected editions.

Last I checked there's a pretty set national age for ALL jobs (being 16), unless of course you want to be a bartender (21) or President (in which case you'll have to wait until 35). If you're 16 you could theoretically, if you're verrrry lucky, become an intern and maaaaybeee if they like you there and you can prove your talent they'll eventually give you the scripting job on some back-up in a soon-to-be-cancelled book or perhaps a free givaway. Then if they like you on that, you'll go higher and higher getting more choice assignments. In the 70's Gerry Conway was about 19 when he wrote Spider-Man, but in these days of office politics and major writers jockeying for that kinda dream assignment, you'll be close to 30 if you get such a job at all. It's hard going and unless the industry changes between now and then, you'll have a tough time breaking in. But it's possible. Just be prepared for a lot of downs and a hard slog and hope for a lot of lucky breaks.

As for your script, for your age it's good, but I'm not sure Steve Rogers would swear so much. He's never been known for a potty-mouth and someone who has had intense military training like him probably wouldn't have an issue waking up early on a saturday. If you practice a lot you'll get better and better, so keep writing and reading!

it's not steve rogers. it is his son. see, when he was a baby, steve died. so that left nick fury II to raise him. (He swears a lot.) Thus, Steve Rogers III swears a lot because A) Nick II teached him. or B) he is a ^%$***#@!!! (as he would put it)

No offence, but if you are going to go so far away from what is canon in the Marvel universe, why don't you try to write an original story, with original characters that you created?
Best way to get started IMO.

I guess i should put a page in my comic that explains stuff to fans. ( no offense, i'm sure all fans would be comfused) but what i'm doing is trying to make people relize that the avengers will always age. and what will it be like when they get too old to fight? i think that people think superheroes don't age. but look at spider man. he's already in his 20's and Captain America SHOULD be in his late 30's. Also, this is set in the far future, so their will be original villains making appearences. thanks for pointing that out!

also, i've tried to create original characters, but with characters created by marvel, i can play around with their history and give the villains a little revamp.

PS: i have been reading spider man and other comics for a long time, i'm just trying to pick some thing that my parents will be okay with. (ultimate comics spider man is actaully pretty good)

So far all we know about your script is that everyone is pissed off because either a) a comic convention is held at their headquarters, b) they want some alone time, or c) it's Saturday and they want to sleep in.
Quite honestly, I do not find it that compelling.
I'm not doubting your talents though, so don't give up. Maybe at least give us some more to read if you want an opinion from us?

okay, it took me a long time, but i finally finished a large portion of my script, so enjoy all comic book fans:

Page 1
Origin page
Previously in the Morbid Avengers…
…As of 2030…
As The Avengers got old, many had to retire. Even Steve Rogers A.K.A Captain America, Tony Stark A.K.A Iron Man, or even Peter Parker A.K.A the Amazing Spider-Man had to give up their places as heroes! But with no Avengers, the world became filled with disaster. As Nick Fury, Black Widow, and Steve Rogers I and II passed away, Nick’s son, Nick Fury the II, stepped up and became the new general of SHIELD. He gathered the Hulk from Bruce Banner’s laboratory; He got Captain America’s third son, Steve Rogers the III, and gathered a team of cloning specialist to create a “Spider-Borg”. As they announced their plans to bring justice to Ney York, the oldest son of the Black Widow, (Ben Romanoff), decided to help as well. As they started on their journey, they swept New York off their feet with their stern battle for order…
…As the Morbid Avengers!

Page 2-
3 panels, each goes from one side of the page to the other. Each is about 1/3 of the page.

1- the shield headquarters stands tall. The sun light makes it glow. (It’s around noon.)
CAPTION- SHIELD HQ, Noon.

2- At the front door, people are walking in and out. Most of them are people in armor. (SHIELD agents).

3- the lobby inside SHIELD is elaborated and decorated like royalty. Dr. Bruce Banner walks through the crowd and to the front desk.
Dr. Bruce Banner
Excuse me!!!
Page 3-
The ways the panels are set up are entirely optional.

1- Bruce starts to yell at Nick Fury II.
Dr. Bruce Banner
What the hell is all of this?! I am trying to work on a new bio weapon and you’re down here holding a $#@%^* comic book convention?!
2- Nick Fury II looks stern.
Nick Fury II
For your ^**%$# information, this convention is paying for your bio crap!! So don’t come down here and complain!!!
3- Bruce’s eyeballs are wide. He is enraged.

4- Bruce turns around. He pushes his way through the crowd again.
Dr. Bruce Banner
Well you can kiss my @$$! Just keep it down!!
5 – Nick fury IIrolls his eyes.
Nick Fury II (Thinking)
Who knew scientists could be so stupid?! Maybe the gamma rays have gone to his big, fat head.

Page 4-
1- Ben Romanoff, (the black widow II), Looks out the big window at the Avengers bachelor pad. He is holding a picture of his mother in his hand.

Dr. Bruce Banner
Screw it.
Page 5-
1- Nick Fury II walks into his office.
2- He picks up a folder of documents labeled: Avengers To Do List.
Nick Fury II (thinking)
Now where should we start?
3- Cut back to the lobby. It is full of people.

4- suddenly, lightning bolts flash around the room. All the guests duck and cover as the power goes out.

5- Nick Fury II opens his door and stares in shock.

Page 6-
Full Page Splash
Loki crashes through the roof. Lightning bolts continue to surround him. His eyes are a fiery red! His hands crackle with electrical energy! A fire surrounds him.
Loki
Got ya!

Page 7-
1- Nick lifts his watch up to his mouth so he can speak to it.
Nick Fury II-
Avengers Assemble!!! Release the Spider-Borg!!! I repeat, release the Spider-Borg and suit up!!

2- Steve Rogers III pulls on his Captain America mask.
Caption-
Captain America III.
3- Ben Romanoff pulls on his skin tight gloves. (they are black with golden needles attached to each palm of his hand.)
Caption-
Black Widow II.
4- Bruce Banner runs into a laboratory filled with holding cells.

5- Bruce flips a switch on the wall. It’s like a regular light switch.

6- One of the doors opens up. A fog enters the room.

Page 8-
This page will have 5 panels, each going vertically across the page.

1- a silhouetted figure leaps out of its chamber. (it appears to be human like.)

2- it starts running on the walls.

3- It jumps to the spot directly in front of Dr. Bruce Banner. Bruce smiles.

4- (Close up of banner’s face)
Dr. Bruce Banner
The target is Loki. He should be in the lobby. But hurry, the guests are still in there.
5- We now see what the figure looks like. From the head to its hips it looks like spider man. But from the hips to its feet, it has metal, skinny legs. Each foot has two claws that let it stick to walls. It is Spider- Borg.
Spider-Borg (electrical voice)
Yes master. Target acquired.
Caption
Spider- Borg
Page 9-
1- Bruce frowns.
Dr. Bruce Banner
Whoops! I need to make an adjustment.

2- He grabs Spider-Borg’s head and opens the back of it.

3- He flips a switch inside the head. (it looks like a light switch.)

4- the eyes of Spider- Borg turn red.
Spider- Borg
It’s time to kick some ^**%$#@!!!!!
5- Bruce smiles as his eyes starts to turn green.
Bruce Banner
Good boy.
Page 10-
1- Captain America III and Black Widow II wait outside the door that leads to the lobby.
Captain America III
On the count of three. One… two--.
2- Spider- Borg runs past them.
Spider-Borg
Suckers!!!
Black Widow II
What the---.
FX-
SWOOOOOOSH!!!!
3- Spider- Borg kicks open the door. It falls off its hinges.
Spider-Borg
Now where’s that son of a--?
4- Spider- Borg’s sensors go off. His eyes turn green.

5- We are now seeing the room the way he sees it. He sees it like looking through a thermal camera.

6- (NOT IN THERMAL CAMERA MODE ANYMORE) Loki punches him in the back by surprise. His hand is surrounded by electrical shocks.
FX-
POW!!!!
7- Loki punches him in the back again with the other hand.
FX-
WAM!!
8- Spider- Borg falls to the ground. The back of his shirt is burnt black from the electricity from Loki.

Good or bad is so subjective. No one writes masterpieces at age 12, but what I am saying is that your writing style is very advanced for your age-group. If you keep practicing, you have potential to become a great writer later in your adult life. That means writing AND reading to an excessive amount EVERY NIGHT (I know some kids frown on reading books, but I've had a few short stories and essays published online and offline and nothing helps you improve your style more than reading a few hours every night). I think if you dedicate yourself, you'll see a lot of personal growth. To be honest more relies on dedication and hard work than born talent.

As for your specific script here, not sure I dig the whole "son of Steve Rogers" plot you have going, but it's your own. IMHO, it's a tad derivative and I'd much prefer to see what you can do with creating characters and situations that aren't already related to existing properties. But my opinion doesn't really matter. You're young. Write what makes you happy for now. If writing this script makes you happy, go for it. If you want people to look at it, I'm not sure if this is the best venue. I would look for a fanfic community or forum dedicated to teen writers to post it.

okay. i'll try to say this with out blowing a fuse:

Why do you all think this is unoriginal? the only two characters that are already created are hulk and loki! And this plot is nothing like any avengers comic I have ever read! If you wanna call some thing unoriginal look at have the comics that are being published today!!! They use LOTS of characters that are already created while my script only calls for TWO!!!

i feel better now. thanks for all of your input.

You're taking what I said way too personally. I didn't mean to offend you. All I meant was that you should try your hand at creating your own unique characters and situations. Good luck.
