^I'd be fine with that, I just want him to finally be able to communicate properly with Sam and the rest now, the radio gimmick is done IMO.

Just one of the many inane problems with Transformers 2. It was like a perfect storm of production problems-- writer's strike meant shooting from an early draft script, too much creative freedom for the director, and a "too big to fail" attitude from the studio towards the production. Hopefully things turn out much better this time around.

Also, I love the idea of Michael J Fox as Bee! Why didn't they do that in the first film?

Bay and Spielberg wanted him to come off as that cute, kitschy alien that befriends the boy, a la the boy and his car story. That's more than likely why they maintained the lack of a voice. If he could talk, there wouldn't be that "awww, so cute" factor.

In the third one though, that **** should be fixed, and he should basically speak and converse like a combination of a smart ass younger guy and a loyal friend/fighter. You notice everytime he fights and wins he always has this "hell yeah, I did that!" expression.

If Hot Rod is never in the movies to become Rodimus Prime then how about Bumblebee get the Prime upgrade? Beebimus or Bumbimus Prime.

Making him talk through the radio after we already had him speaking in the first film was lazy and retarded, just like most of ROTF's script. They owe it to us to have Bumblebee speaking this time.

I think the reason that BB used radio still was for the story. They needed a reason to get jetfire in the mix. The twins couldn't read the symbols and BB couldnt talk so they got jetfire.

Personally, I would say either bring back Dan Gilvezan or get Will Friedle or Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

If we ever did see Bumblebee become leader in any future TF fiction, I'd say call him Goldbug Prime myself. Be a nice nod to the upgrade he got in G1 and the Autobots' leader's first name doesn't neccessarily need to end with a 'mus' suffix.

I was in downtown Detroit on Friday and saw that bumblebee has a new paint job for the third film. It looks great, the stripes are solid and the fin on the back of the car is now black. He looked really sweet, as did the ferrari and Optimus' new trailer.

I read somewhere that I think it was just that Bumblebee's character animation is based on the performance of Michael J. Fox in the Back to the Future movies.

From watching the movies I thought Bumble Bee didn't have a voice but after watching transformers gen 1 on the Hub Network he indeed has a voice.

The thing is, they picked the worst possible voice for him in TF1. Not to mention no explanation how he got it back, and then how he lost it again (or chose not to use it).
