A Look Back At The `00s!
Normally I don't like to reflect on the year or even the decade till after Christmas, but everyone seems to be in a rush to look back at the `00s. So, SHH shouldn't be any different.
Let's look back at the Bush years, the wars, the collapse of the economy, the first Black president, how the Internet made us stay longer hours inside the house, the rise and fall of chat rooms, the rise and fall of MySpace, the rise of Facebook, Twitter, social networking in general, the return of Apple, Steve Jobs, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, how jag was obsessed with Apple, the fall of Microsoft, how Malice still defends Microsoft, Xbox's red ring of death, the PS3, movies, music, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry's breasts, and of course. . .the birth of SuperHeroHype.com. ![]() The Song of the Decade: ![]() VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Myspace has not Fallen. Why? Because people still use it...although it may be defunct by 2012 (if sooner).
And that's when I switch to Facebook. This is the song of the decade, fool. ![]() VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

If I remember correctly(feel free to correct me anyone) Myspace is losing money...or it isn't making money....and Facebook is whooping it's ass. And Youtube...I can't remember. But I do know Facebook and Twitter are doing good.

I think the Hype predates the 00s. I've been posting since before Spider-Man 1. Can someone verify?

You're thinking of ComingSoon.net. Spider-Man Hype, the first incarnation of SHH, was launched in 2000 or 2001.

But I don't think Comingsoon and the Hype were originally affiliates. I think Coming soon bought the hype or something like that.

Both CS and SHH were created by Mirko and, I guess, to some degree, Malice.

Uhm... I didn't know that Microsoft fell. It must have been on another planet where Windows isn't still the main operating system and XBox isn't super-popular.

![]() Well, Apple is a much bigger competitor now than in the `90s. Plus, wasn't Windows Vista a giant joke? ![]() Quote:

And I would compare Vista to those short little I-pods Mac had a while back. What's your point? Companies have misfires sometimes. Microsoft is actually in the process of creating another version of Windows if I'm not mistaken. Quote:

Haha - no, it expired around 2003 I think. The official URL was www.no-organic-webshooters.com/ .
I posted there exclusively when it was still undetermined whether or not Sam Raimi was going to keep the organic webshooter concept used in the James Cameron Spider-Man script treatment from the early '90s (I was opposed to the organic webshooters, BTW). However, by late 2000 it became obvious that the organics were a done deal, so I gave up on that site and came to the SMH forums instead. |
