For some reason I can't see your suggestion for Spitfire. I just see a box with a red cross in it. Could you tell me who you chose?

I think they should use television actors to play the Invaders. I can only really see them being in a handful of scenes anyway. Something like...
Union Jack- Marc Warren ![]() Spitfire- Sophia Myles ![]() Red Guardian- Stanislav Ianevski ![]() Jim Hammond- Bryan Cranston

well since joe stated he wanted to get big names for supporting roles. i think we are probably going to get bigger names, plus folks who appeal to international audiences for invaders. i cant wait to see which ones they pick.

Joe also said the person playing Captain America will be an unknown so we'll have to wait and see. I think getting high caliber actors to play the roles of James, Red Skull, General Phillips, Doctor Erskine and Peggy is a great idea but the invaders would benefit from less well known roles.

I like Jamie Bell for Bucky and Tom Hardy for Union Jack. As for Namor... I'm not sure if he's going to be in this movie or if he even should, but I'd like to throw Richard Armitage's name in the hat.

Wasn't Union Jack old enough that he fought in WW!? If so we could go for a bigger name indeed.

For the record...the quote contradicts itself...6 invaders including Cap and Bucky...that means probably 4 other characters.
If I had my way, the 4 other characters would be Namor, Jim Hammond, Union Jack and Spitfire. That said, I doubt we'll get Namor. Like I said in the other thread, First Avenger Cap Am might wind up having T'Challa's grandfather or father in order to introduce the Black Panther into the Marvel film universe.

Technically, there is that slim chance that Marvel get to use Namor in the Invaders as there's rumours that twhile they dont have the rights to the Silver Age version of the character, they apparently do have the rights to the Golden Age version.
There's not really a million miles difference between the two, save for a few cosmetic ones; with a little tweaking and some savvy, they could use the character and make him seem like Namor we know and love. It'll be interesting to see how the Invaders thing develops.

My Complete Captain America cast (posted here because half of them are invaders, and also because nobody's been reading the general casting thread anymore
)![]() Chris Evans as Cap, Obviously Anton Yelchin as Bucky (although Efron is also growing on me, strangely enough) Alice Eve as Peggy Carter (used to be Knightley, but then I remembered just how much she annoys the crap outta me in everythins but Pride and Prejudice... I said no to Blunt because I kinda want here to have a more substantial role than just this one film) Michael Fassbender as Union Jack Andy Whitfield as Namor Kevin McKidd as Jim Hammond (As I posted in the Which Invaders would you like to see thread: In order to avoid confusion, he probably shouldn't just light on fire like the traditional FF Torch... I would either have just maybe his eyes (and mouth?) actually ignite, while the rest of him would glow or (I like this idea better) make his skin crackle obsidian, like a lava flow, with random gouts of fire geysering out at random.) Neal McDonough as Whizzer (The nineties Invaders books were some of the first comics I read... kinda taught me to read now that I think of it... so he's just in here for loyalties sake) David Bowie as Abraham Erskine Villains: Hugo Weaving as Red Skull Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Zemo (I like Helmut's costume best though, they outta go with that) Mads Mikkelsen as Arnim Zola David Bamber as Hitler (played him in Valkyrie and i was too lazy to think outside the box) |

Fassbender as Union jack would be pretty cool. I know he was in Punisher: Crapzone but what about Dominic West as Union Jack? I will admit I'm a fan of The Wire and wouldn't mind seeing him get some decent roles.

some nice picks there. Also a cool graphic you made there. As for me i dont really know what invaders i would want to see besides union jack. Since i dont really know much info on any of the invader characters.

This is probably a terrible idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there any way: Ewan McGregor for Union Jack.
