Just bought the official Sony Wireless Headset, these things are awesome. Highly recommended to those who may be unfamiliar with the whole surround sound headset gig.

Anyone else have trouble playing Blu-rays at times on their PS3?

Some will work while others just get stuck at the loading icons. I have no idea what the hell is going on. I deleted the cache just in case but that didn't help.

I tried getting Moneyball to play 3-4 times. Tried the next day and it suddenly works.

Is your PS3 running on the latest firmware? If not, you may want to update it. Lack of updated firmware will cause issues with peformance.

Which model PS3 do you have? Some models have been known to be prone to BR lens issues. It can happen to any system really, due to a bad BR lens installed, age of the lens, or a system that does not get cleaned on a regular basis.

I don't remember which exact model it is. I got it about 2 years ago, it's the newer looking version.

To update the firmware, is that just going into System Update in the menu? Sorry, I'm a bit ignorant to a lot of this.

So you have a Slim model? Ok. It's still possible that a bad lens was installed in the system. Very uncommon but still possible.

Yes, go under 'System Update' and you can download the update via internet. If you don't have an internet connection to your PS3 for whatever reason, you can download the latest update onto a flash drive via the Playstation Official website. Then go to your PS3 and under 'System Update' there will be an option for updating thru hardware, plug in the USB flash drive and start.

For some reason that option didn't pop up so I'm just going to try to update from the internet. Didn't work last time for some reason.

Updating from the internet is the easiest method IMO. I am glad to help, good luck with it and hopefully it solves your BR playing issues.

You probably got that game for the wrong system. Dont let it cloud your judgement on the PS3. I dont know if its been fixxed but its known to have awful bugs which get worse as you play and your save file gets too big

Anyone know if there is a program free or not that lets you watch movie trailers? There is on one the Xbox 360 called Zune that's for free.

I was just curious if the PS3 network had something similar.

If you go to the PSN store > Video > Movies I believe there's a Flixster tab that's let's you either rent or download the newest Movie Trailers. I use it every once in a while but normally I just use the YouTube/Keepvid trick so I can copy trailers/videos wherever I please. When downloading those trailers on the store you can't really put them anyplace else.
