Sounds like this cop has a god complex. The dude has a ton of complaints against him, and arresting a woman for asking a simple question is just wrong.

It has to be a big city thing....in the small town I live in, if a cop came along and four people were talking on the sidewalk....he would join in the conversation.

I know there are some good cops out there but way too many of them are on power trips. As a citizen you do have the right to question law enforcement, you just can't talk **** to them, run or physically assault them of course.

I really would like to know why the officer wanted her to move in the first place. And I know that even though he has no responsibility to answer the question "Why?" he's still a dick.

So does anyone actually know why he asked her to move?

That's what I don't get either. As I was alluding to in my previous post...where I come from, if a cop saw 4 older ladies standing on a sidewalk and talking, there is no way in heaven or earth that he would think he could just out of nowhere tell them to move.

Not knowing enough detail makes me hesitant to suggest something but either A.) The guy is just an ******* and when a lady didn't obey a command he gave he decided to arrest her or B.) They were doing something that they should not have been doing or they were required for whatever reason to move and this lady decided to ***** about it until she got arrested.

And why was he out of his vehicle? and who tells old people to
"move"? They love it when you tell them excuse me, I mean I understand if it were a bunch of tweens talking about twilight, I'd tell them to move too, but old people?

The article doesn't say they were doing anything wrong....it says they weren't blocking the sidewalk and there is no mention of anyone calling the police about them...just that the police pulled up and told them to move along, and the one lady asked "why".

Sounds like a cop on a power trip.

Normally I do side with the police, but from the evidence presented and the witness statements, there's nothing here that provides a reasonable explanation for the Officer's actions outside of just being a jackass.
