Well...have you seen those movies? I was a kid when I saw those movies...and both movies showed those 'things' Esp human size ones. Nine Months - Hugh Grant has nightmare...about those things...wakes up...big one in bed rolls on top of him

. Course that itself was another nightmare. Meet the Applegates. That is horror/comedy about giant size ones wearing human skin trying to cause mischief. And I saw the famous rape scene...as a kid...or maybe it wasn't a rape scene. In any case, the teen turned into the mantis halfway through. And it...ugh.

Although for some strange reason I could see myself directing a Alien or Predator knockoff with a Human size Mantis as the creature.

Spiders are damned freaky, but I always bear in mind they're always more afraid of you than you are of them. That said, I definitely prefer them away from me and outside elsewhere.

No, it's more like, unless it's a Black Widow, or a Brown Recluse, or something like that, spiders are typically harmless, and have no desire, or capabilities even, to harm humans. But they will eat the **** out of a bird, isn't that right Caliph?

I had a rose tarantula as a pet before. Didn't do much of course, but it's neat to check them out when they are moving/climbing. It layed on it's back for a whole day. I thought it was dead. Then the next day, I saw two of them in the aqaurium. The freakin' thing shedded it's exoskeleton and came out from it's own back. Wickedest thing I ever saw.

You know, I read similar comments in the "talk back" on Youtube. It's like 50% of the viewers were utterly disgusted by the scene, whereas the rest were genuinely impressed.

Not all orcas hunt and kill marine mammals. Many pods eat almost exclusively salmon. I can't help but wonder whether the parks target the latter group (resident pods) for that very reason...
