I know nostalgia is great and everything, but can we please just leave some things in the 80's? It's not like he'll be lonely, he can hang out with Dolph Lungren!

Would anyone like to see cameos in The First Avenger from Matt Salinger, Reb Brown or Christopher Lee? Maybe Lee could play a Nazi.

Christopher Lee has been in some of the biggest film series: Dracula, Star Wars, LOTR and many other movies. It would be great if he were part of the Marvel Universe, even in a small role as a Nazi. Or he could be a Hydra head - maybe someone like Count Otto Vermis. He wouldn't work as Baron Strucker. And speaking of Strucker, why isn't he in this movie since Hydra is there? They could get actor Steven Grives (King Zad in the Beastmaster series) if they didn't want a big star in the role:

If I had to go with a different choice. I would say Patrick Wilson. He's the only other guy that comes off like a leader, and has that swagger of a soldier and true american. Plus, we know how he looks in a costume.

But, I'll add, I'm extremely happy with Evans, and I'm a Cap fan through and through.

i agree, other than the dude from friday night lights (the injured qb) i was rooting for patrick wilson

I would have gone for David Conrad (with his hair dyed blonde of course).

He's an American, unknown, excellent physique, closer to RDJ's age range, a great 1940's look and an excellent resume (Cressida in a stage production of Richard II, Men of honour). He even had a role in the video game "Call of Duty: Black Ops"

I do think Evans was the best person on the list but I don't think either of the two lists were very good. However, I'll still give the film a chance.

Huh. Weird. When I saw David Conrad, I thought you posted a pic of Richard Armitage. I don't know his acting, but from my POV, DC looks like he'd make a great Namor.

(I was soooo hoping that RA would be playing the Sub-Mariner. Alas!)
