I really hope Hedlund is still in the running.He's definitely my favorite out of the list, so I hope EW.com was wrong about him being out. I think Marvel is controlling this the way they want. Notice how Hollywoodreporter and Deadline Hollywood had 2 diffrent names for the lead females character name? They created a buzz with this good and bad. We dont know really know who's in and out of the running for the lead. I think Marvel wants Hedlund but keeps letting people guess.

What's up, people? New to the forums, but long-standing reader of the Hype for years, when it was called "SpidermanMovie Hype!"...avid fan of comic book movies and comics in general since I was a wee lad...Glad to be HERE!

With that said, I feel compelled to come on and express my displeasure w/ Marvel considering Tatum for the CA role...what, they DIDN"T SEE the "G.I. JOE" movie?? WTF? That was a "Captain America"-like role, and he was one of the worst parts of a BAD movie...C'MON, MARVEL!! I'm open to Chris Evans, tho...he was a good Johnny Storm...let's continue to play the waiting game...Peace!

Makes sense.

Some of the non-working or tv actors like Vogel/Bethel might jump at the opportunity, but for consistently working actors 300k and 9 film commitment that may interfere with other, more lucrative projects is a bum deal. Marvel either needs to be more flexible with the # of pictures or increase the pay.

Well, if I saw this same group of "actors" auditioning and being considered to play Superman for the upcoming Nolan produced Supes film.....I would not feel very confidant for that either.

Then again, it is Nolan and not Johnston....so who would know.

The only reason I'm hesitant to believe this is that actors testing wouldn't be allowed to read the full script. It's not like Marvel just sends the whole thing out to whomever they want.

When I see this quote of Nolan about his Superman:

I'm really worried about him in Superman with this kind of comments, I have already hated badly his "vision" of Batman (very different of the comics imo), but I don't judge for advance unlike you, he could give also a good Superman, sadly, it's clear that there will be no Superman/Batman (the comics exist, but Nolan have decided that "they have nothing to do each other ) or JLA movies in the next years, something I really want to see, but Nolan have decided to don't make that, so...

For the casting, I'm with Mike Vogel, but I'm really curious to see Chris Evan take the role, but it would be fun to see play the Human Torch of the 40's (but I'm sure that Marvel can't use him).

I thought that "The Rocketeer" was a nice movie with really good casting (esp. w/ a young buxom Jennifer Connelly!!), hoping that he would follow suit w/ Cap, since they share the same time period...I hope he steps up & makes a casting decision most fans could be happy with...anybody know who the casting director is? ; )
