Fraction brings Casanova to Icon. Starting with full color reprints of the first 14 issues. Best bloody news yet.

So cool. I had not actually heard of "Casanova" until I had the pleasure of meeting Fraction in person a few years ago. He came, somewhat unheralded, to do a signing at Astro Kitty, the (good) LCS in Lawrence (he still lived in Kansas City at the time), and I went to get an issue of "Immortal Iron Fist" autographed. After singing it, he plugged this book and, obviously, encouraged me to buy a copy (probably the only time I'd seen it at Astro Kitty). Being rather vulnerable to pressure, especially to a famous comic book author who just sort of sitting there looking at me, I got a copy (which he then also signed), and really enjoyed it.
Maybe now the store I shop at will start carrying it again.

Whenever they bring the trades into print through Icon, pick them up (though I'd recommend getting them now if you can find them). It only gets better from the first issue

I'd been planning on the trades as it was. I guess I'll wait for them in Icon.

So, is this actually issue 1 & 2 of the Image series plus a back-up story?
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the color, but it looks good I think

Damn, we have to wait 8 issues before the arc, seems too long
![]() I know these issues are in color, and have some back-up stories, but I'm still hating the pricing. I know it's probably better for the title from a marketing and publicity standpoint to be at Marvel, but I kinda of wish it'd stayed at Image. That way it'd still be $1.99. Oh well, it'll be worth it as long as the quality stays the same

Go ahead, go read X-Men vs. Twilight cash grab, I'll wait. Seriously, I have no idea what you people want. Your mother would be very disappoint with you.

I wish instead of reprinting stuff they could have just continued from where the Image series left off. I'm going to eventually forget to pick it up when it catches up.

So do we all, so do we all
![]() I was pretty disappointed at the news when it first hit, and I was okay with the series just having one color scheme per issue. But I guess if it helps someone pick it up that didn't pick it up when Image was publishing, it's a good thing. But still, having to wait 8-9 months for new issues after the announcement of it's return was kind of a letdown

Ya know, I've read both series that Marvel reprinted; and, Casanova just doesn't do much for me. I'm glad it has an audience that appreciates it, though. Nice that it's not like all the other stuff Marvel puts out...or, even the stuff that Icon puts out. I do get excited about that Kung Fu Panda cover.
