To be perfectly honest, I haven’t kept up with the current incarnation of Iron Man in the Marvel books. So, it would be hard to venture an opinion. As I tell people at conventions and such: “I’m a seller of Iron Man—not a buyer.” David and I have been fortunate enough to reach a point in our careers that we can do a new IM series for Marvel and they’ll permit David and me to do “our version” of the character and avoid current continuity. I think the hard-core fans of the Michelinie/Layton runs want to see our Tony Stark and company when we create a new storyline.
Am I reading this right? Are they thinking about coming back and doing a book?

preciate this Comicus. When I got my first IM it was during the second Layton/Michelinie run. He's one of my top 5 fav artists period. I thought he should have had a cameo in the first film, but was glad to hear about his set visits on IM2.

One of the rubs when they had the book back in the 80's was they turned it into a soap opera. I guess...at least it was a soap opera w/ a dude who shot lasers from an Iron suit. Good read
