I just liked Iron Man 2 cause it was more enjoyable...except for the action scenes...thats just my opinion and I dont expect many to agree...but I also dont want this troll nonsense of "peepahlz hoo vote 4 iron man2 iz stoopid" or "newbie" crap...cause its other peoples opinion...if there is a distinct gap between the 1st and 2nd to you and you feel one is far superior...congrats...but dont come in here demanding that your opinion is set in stone knowledge...that just makes you sound like an ass. Cause your opinion is worth just as much as ours...Nothing. Therefore you just piss people off and troll with the newbie nonsense. Childish is the word I'm looking for. haha

It's almost a tie for me
Iron man 1 was great because we didn't know what to expect, and had more of a story (thats what people complain about the second one not having) but it was because it was an origin movie, so honestly, i thought the action sequences in the first one were mediocre. After seeing iron man 2, yes the story was simple, but i felt it was like, "You know who iron man is, and why he is, so now see him in action" idk, the second one was more eventful? In the end, its pretty much a tie, Iron man had the story, but Iron man 2 delievered amazing action sequences and setups.

Much too early to tell, you're comparing a film you may have seen multiple times over one that's fresh in your mind. Ratings will probably drop once the excitement factor has worn off Oh and I'm going with the first. It's a better crafted and more specifically, scripted movie. The script was the biggest issue I had with the second one, there was little to it which allowed self indulgent improv and was the cause of an empty middle. It's possibly one of the worst scripts I've seen in any CM movie for some time But at least the second one had Sam Rockwell

I think the first is definitely the better film.
IM1 = 9.5/10 IM2 = 7.5/10

Whiplash was the main threat though.

Iron Man. IM2 was nothing more than an incoherent and unfunny comedy. No soul, no characters, and unsatisfying action.

That description fits Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but Iron Man 2? Come on.

I liked IM2 but it didn't outdo the first movie. The only thing I think IM2 beat IM1 in is the action scenes, although there were also lesser of them in IM2.

I'm going to say IM2 was the more entertaining draw. More like the 616 w/ minor changes, and bigger...which is always good. And a whole hell of a lot of time in the suit.

I was going to vote right now but i'm taking my parents to see it this Sunday so I think i'll have a better opinion of the film on second viewing. As it stands right now I gave the film a 7/10 on the poll. I think I gave the first one an 8 if I remember correctly.

News flash for you, people actually might have their own personal and valid opinions for why the liked the sequel more. Just because you didn't like it and part of that reason is the exaggeration that it was only an add for the Avengers film(once again, SHIELD wasn't in it that much and only near the end)doesn't mean it was in fact a bad film. I usually don't call people out on this but your about two steps(maybe one)away from being a troll. |

It's a tie for me. As I stated in my review, I like one film more than the other film in various areas, but overall they are about equal.

Well I loved boh films,I just got back from seeing it for the first time, and they both have different things about them that make them better than the other, Iron Man was a great origin story, weak on action which is fine, IM2 was very well done, humor in the right spots, dramatic, great fight scenes, the interaction between Stark & Pepper was fantastic. As a hardcore Iron Man fan it's hard to decide between the two as both IMO were strong in there own ways.

i read the question wrong, I thought it was which one did you like better, not which one IS better. IM is easily the better film, but I personally enjoyed IM2 more.

Its a tie for me. Though both had elements that I think are better when compared.
