6. The Avengers
7. X-Men 2
8. X-Men

1. The Avengers.
2. Iron Man.
3. X2: X-Men United.
4. Spider Man 2.
5. The Wolverine.
6. X-Men: First Class.
7. The Punisher (Thomas Jane version).
8. Blade II.
9. Thor.
10. Blade.

The one's that are just plain bad:
Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
X-Men: The Last Stand.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Spider Man 3.
Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
Blade Trinity.

Elektra wasn't horrible, just horribly dull and uninteresting.

Not really. Just my tastes.

This year for example I loved Before Midnight (9.5), Blue Jasmine (9), Gravity (8.5), Captain Phillips (8.5).

I'd give Man of Steel an 8, and STID & Pacific Rim a 7

I still like most of those movies. 6/10 (3/5) is still a decent score. I just can't put them in the same category as some other films I enjoy much more.

Ah I think Marvel films just don't really fit with the tone of movies you usually enjoy, I think they're a bit too "light" for you.

Am I correct?

Not necessarily.

Incredible Hulk was pretty serious, and I found it be quite the bore.

Spider-Man 1/2 and Star-Trek 1/2 are pretty light, and I really like them.

I should say, some of these movies I liked a lot more on my first viewing. Avengers was like a 9.5/10, but over time, the jokes start to grate and I just get really bored with the nonexistent story and Whedon cheese.

Yeah The Avengers didn't have the meatiest story in the world, so I understand where you're coming from.

I'm in the same boat with you. I remember coming out of my midnight showing loving it when it was released, but now that I have it on blu-ray, I think I've only watched it once since then.

The spectacle and team up for all the heroes was fun enough, but the lack of story, lack of any emotion or heart as well as some of the characters just left me cold after watching it again.

How was there no story exactly? It was a relatively simple story, but one that was nevertheless executed well. Also, with all the different pieces that were being juggled, an overly complex plot would have probably been a bad idea. Also, no emotion/heart, huh? The entire movie screamed "I LOVE this material, and I'm going to make sure that it gets the treatment that it deserves." Seriously, people need to explain the whole "no heart" thing because I don't see it.

The rest of these movies hover between 6-6.5. i.e. They were fine, but you wont see me popping the blu-ray in anytime soon:

The Wolverine, The Amazing Spiderman, Blade 1, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk.

The movies i havent mentioned are all interchangeable trash

To tell the truth, besides having these large scale heroes, there wasn't that much spectacle compared to most other blockbusters

The simple story serves the movie well on the first viewing for me. It gave room for the comedy, action, and character interactions.

And it's definitely one of the best routes they could have taken with the material, especially being the first team-up movie. It was extremely enjoyable on first viewing after all.

But in time, after the jokes and action got old, the lack of a decently interesting story prevents me from wanting to watch the movie. It lacks a good 'core' imo. That, in turn, also makes me less tolerable of the things I've grown to dislike -- the Whedon dialogue and the TV feel of some of the scenes.

I agree with everything. There's a story there, for sure, but the main dish here is the fun, and as a movie that's for fun it did very good. But yes, much like you, I barely watch it except for the action scenes - which are really good - and don't feel too attracted to see the whole movie. Whedon's jokes, very similar to most of superhero movies' ones, get old after the first time.
