First Class Villains

It's been said that First Class will feature mutants old and new and that Professor Xavier and Magneto work together to stop "the greatest threat the world has ever known." The question is, “Who, or what, is this threat?” Who do you think is, or who would like to see as, the villain[s] in X-Men: First Class?

hmm sounds like to me its Apocalypse...he's that big enough character...he would be a great catalyst to set the human vs mutant hate into play...an all powerful mutant bent on world domination and no one to oppose him would make for a great film...he could be the reason why Magento and Charles fall out...Apocalyspe could convince Eric that mutants are superior to humans...blah blah...

I think it should be Apocalypse.He fits the deal.And he could be the reason Magneto becomes convinced humans and mutants can not live together In Peace.

its kinda hard to gauge without enough information. whats the status of mutant/human relations in this film? do humans as a whole even know mutants exist yet? if were still in current Fox film canon they werent really aware and/or afraid until the first film with Senator Kelly. it might be a little premature to have someone initiate the sentinel program if mutant hysteria hasnt struck the nation yet.

Apocalypse would be great to finally see, but they need to 1) build the relationship of the team first, and 2) really establish who he is and why hes such a threat. i dont think they can complish both in one movie in (presumably) 100 minutes. id hold him off until a sequel.

i think they should go with the Marauders- something smaller but definitely serious. theyre going around kidnapping, killing mutants for Sinister. and this can be the door to bring us Apocalypse later on.

I can only really think of Sentinels, Apocalypse or Sinister are really too big in my eyes for what is essentially a youth team.

Proteus could be another possible villain.

I say Hellfire Club. I don't want a massive threat in First Class because then watching the later films would have me wondering why the X-Men could handle someone like Apocalypse when they were kids and then have some difficult taking on Magneto later. The Hellfire Club seems to fit IMO. I'm not sure the best way to use them, but they'd be a good threat and an interesting one.

I wonder if Jean might be the villain as such.

In TLS Xavier says to Wolverine "You have no idea. You have no idea of what she's capable". He also mentioned sticking the psychic blocks in Jean's mind. Maybe they'll deal with that.

I think it would be so awesome to see Jean go crazy and Xavier knocks her out and then we see them both in Lab and Xavier putting the Blocks in jean kinda like a similar shot from TLS

I think the villian needs to be someone you wouldnt normally expect. Its all well to say Apocaylpse, Sinister, Sentinals because there the more famous characters but if we learnt anything from x-men 1 to wolverine that less popular characters like Stryker, Worthington Cnr, Dr.Kavito Rao... could all prove to be quiet more impressive.

For this i figure there is only one logical conclusion to who the villian should be.

i see first class as being a bit like revenge of the sith, were as you have a good guy turned bad, influenced by someone/thing that enters a new form of belief.

See initally we know that Magneto will go from good to bad so he is going to be the anikin skywalker of the movie, so we need an empiorer...and for that character i have one mutant in mind.

THE HIGH EVOLUTIONARY...
Here is my reasoning for this character.

1. The High Evolutionary was a scientist who was taught the art of genetic manipulation from Dr.Milbury an alterego of Dr.Nathaniel Essex, aka Mr Sinister.
2. Magneto is not a scientist, and thus would not be able to create the machine used in x-men 1, however High Evolutionary could create such a device.
3. Victor Creed went from fingers of a bag lady to you owe me a scream - which could be explained by The High Evolutionary's experiments to make him more abidiant.
4. He could easily be worked into the whole weapon x saga which has pretty much lead all four movies.
5. The High Evolutionary is a one off character that could broaden the x-men universe. For example he comes from Wundagor where Magnetos children are, The whole connection to Mr.Sinister could mean Sinister plays a future role in say X-Men 4 to 6.
6. The High Evoltionary is a single story, meaning you could use him for First Class and kill him off without wanted him to return. But his role would have set the whole mythos of the rest of the movies.

In my oppinion, i think The High Evoltionary would be great but you would need a brilliant actor to play him, id say Gary Oldman...

I would like to see the friends of humanity brought to life on screen. The group of mutant hating humans, they could even cameo a young senator kelly at the end of the movie as part of the group who manages to escape. The leader should be graydon creed, intent on wiping out all mutants for abuses suffered by his father when he was growing up. I see him as sort of a self made millionare who is funding the group out of his own pocket, they could even say that's how senator kelly gets in office is because of campaign contributions from the group which explains his loyalty and his own anti mutant notions that expand as he gains more respect in the senate. ( I know they used trask in x3 but I wouldn't mind them using him again designing his first prototype sentinel which the xmen have to take down and I see it bringing the building down when its destroyed. I would like to see a young nathaniel essex identifying the mutant gene in the movie also which would swell the groups numbers upon proof that mutants are real I think the thing that could occur that would cause the rift between magneto and xavier would be when magnetos son and daughter are kidnapped and have numbers tattooed on their arms and they are set to be the first to be executed by the sentinel protoype and magneto tries to kill everyone and xavier shuts him down magnetos last act could be setting the sentinel to blow and that's when the two groups separate. the only actual cameo I would like to see would be someone from the hellfire club approaching to offer creed membership and he turns them down thinking he will be a hero when his movement eliminates all mutants at the beginning of their rise

hmm, I would like for the big "A" to make an appearance in the X-franchise, if Apocalyspe worked in XME, he could work in First Class...just think the final battle could take place, Egypt, where they meet Storm, who is still being worshipped as a goddess (ala X-Men Hidden years), who helps in the final battle...and we can see Jean let loose w/her power(actually in the 1st class comics she is the powerful),but she has control...

or they could pull a XML 2 and have Mr. Sinister looking for 4 mutants will harmonic DNA, to either creat the ultimate mutant or free Apocalyspe and those 4 would become his horsemen(Sabretooth, Wanda,Pietro,Storm)

just something to think about...and after this big mutant battle it'll spark the bug public debate over mutants...good or bad and how they are a danger...

Erik and Charles never fought Nazis wrong time period... Young Eric was a child of 10 when he was rescued from the Nazi prisons by time he grew up he would of been to old to have fought hitler.
