Yea those are definitely the soles of boots. It's not like he's wearing tennis shoes.

I think he means boots that are over the pants.

In any case, I like the costume. The breastplate armor is a bit SERIOUS, but good overall. The pants could have been more fitted and/or a better material.

I just wish that future Magneto's costume would have had his classic rivets on the collar. It would have finally fit into a movie since it's all about war and armor!

I'm happy with the new outfit; it's the best Magneto costume yet.

I agree with this. It's also the first look of an existing character I'm happy with so far.

It definitely is something very good to look at! I've always though out of all the characters Magneto was done well consume-wise in the films. I only wish we get a good version of the Wolverine costume translated to film.

Costume with pantlegs inside shoes could look better, like older Magneto wear.

They always butcher the pants for these superhero characters.

Thor.

But yea I like this costume too. Hopefully Fassbender doesn't awkwardly extend his arms like that in the film.

That arm gesture is like his way of rising off the ground, his arms raise and he raises. It's like xavier hand to his head when he uses his powers

Did you just try to school me in how Magneto's power works? In the X-men forums?

I know why he does it. Doesn't explain the fact that it looks awkward

Out of context picture, it may look better in motion, plus we dunno if we will see it from the same angle

Fassbender will be sounding more like Ian Mckellen In DOFP

"I hope it's not too much of a weird switch, but in the first one it was a concern for me..and I actually kind of wish I did this [accent] the first time. Because at the beginning I was studying McKellen and doing that cadence...But Matthew kind of liked my accent and my rhythms...But on this one I listened to McKellen constantly. I had him on my iPhone all the time."

It was something that kind of had to happen. I mean, we're seeing two actors portray the same character... it's got to be believable, though I found it believable in FC... but Ian wasn't there, where as here we'll likely see him quite a bit. I guess Singer just wants it to sync up a bit more. I doubt it'll be too heavy.

to be honest i never seen much difference between the way fassbender spoke and how mckellen spoke so i find that confusing, whats the accent difference?

obviously there is an age difference and thats the only thing i see that stands out, but thats understandable and make sense

hopefully its a nice middle ground

Singer will also have a single accent for DOFP unlike In FIrst CLass where Vaughn allowed
a different accent to come through In final scene.
