I really hope its Sinister, simply because if he is its means its down to Cyclops to save the day as he was the only one who could hurt him, at least thats how it was in the cartoon.

There's enough room for two men with the name Trask in the X-Men universe. At least, that's what I think they would do, as I doubt the general audience payed much attention to Dukes in The Last Stand.

i would like to see sinister's origin when he makes his deal with apocalypse.
the picture is just to show the era, sure oldman would be a good sinister, but i just hope apocalypse is part of the origin.

Sick... looks like they will be going with the Phoenix/ mind blocking thingy magig (most likely at least)... almost a redo of X-3. Now just bring back Cyke in X-4 and I just might consider coming back to these movies.

I think that's debatable. No one in X2 or The Last Stand seems to know a thing about Jean, so either everyone's mind is erased or Phoenix is very under wraps.

You think Scott is going to openly talk about it with everyone on the team? "Hey my girl friend is a nut... just reminding everyone in case she blows a fuse one day..." Why would they discuss Jean's past with everyone when they apparently had the Pheonix contained in that time?

I know we have had our disagreements, but I've been somewhat consistent... prequels or spinoffs that improve on the established characters and stories of the trilogy or a complete redo. Either way I am good, as long as it is good. Almost prefer they leave out Sinister, Sentinels, and other more expensive **** for a later time.

No. I would expect him to talk about it with Jean, in private, like he does in X2, except he appears to have no idea what is wrong with her and neither does she. Although interesting, I'm not sure I really want to see both Cyclops and Professor Xavier responsible for Jean's undoing.

It would be interesting if Jean did have one big episode which forced Xavier to put the blocks in in the first place. Perhaps Jean has no recollection of said event. Perhaps Cyclops is the only other person besides Xavier who knew about it. Or, perhaps even Xavier was forced to wipe the collective minds of Jean and Scott.

Wow that's awesome. Hellfire Club would work beautifully in the film. In the Ultimate Universe I believe they help finance Xavier's school. Would be interesting to see this played in the film.

I wouldn't read so much into where Shaw may factor into the film and how much influence he'll have on the development of the later Phoenix storyline.

It just doesn't seem like they would go anywhere near that right now,...at least not in the first film.

If you want to call it a storyline... more like a five minute plot device that happened to adapt a major arc in the mythos. That's the very thing that needs to be fleshed out.

I never said that it needed to be fleshed out. I mean, we learned everything we really needed to know already in the first X-Men movies.

I'm just saying, we don't have to assume that they'll go down that route in this film.
