I as well. I'm not a huge fan of Sam Raimi, and I thought he lost his touch, especially with Drag Me To Hell, but I am excited to see his take on Oz.
Heck, I wish they'd also make a film version of Wicked tbh.

I don't know why but Chris Young's SM3 score annoys the hell out of me...
I also didn't like the placement of the music. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqMxi...ture=fvwp&NR=1 the music placement on the part that starts from 0:27 is extremely cheesy, and so is the part where Spidey leaves the scene.

hated young's SM3 score but his train sequence score was perfect. PERFECT!
someone put a youtube clip of elfman's score played to the train sequence and it's rubbish in comparison. |

I thought Young's score was fantastic.

I loved Young's Sandman theme but everything else completely sucked IMO

Lol, for God's sake...was there even ONE thing you didn't like about the trilogy? Hahahaha.
The Sandman theme was great, and Black-Suited Spidey's theme needed some work done to it and it would've been pretty good as well.

It's far from rubbish. But to each his own. I think it's one of Elfman's best actions cues. |

Didn't like it. Venom theme was better. The score for SM3 was okay overall. Nothing memorable imo. Last edited by ITheSymbioteI; 12-16-2011 at 02:14 PM. |

But...I am betting he didn't mind anything with the final battle. I mean, I love and adore Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but there are things that even bugged me about those films...such as that old guy at Wayne Tower that kept saying the hub was going to blow. He didn't have to freaking say the same thing twice. Bad writing right there.

Yeah I have some problems with BB and TDK as well. Such as Batman's growls at some parts. And while I absolutely love The Joker in TDK, I still think he should have been even more crazy and not as cold. And the overuse of the word "fear" in BB was kinda annoying as well. The Batman suit in TDK ain't perfect either.
But I still think those Batman films are the best comic book films ever.

The TDK/TDKR suit..it's something I can't complain because, even though it looks nothing like any version of Batman's suit we've ever seen, I can take those liberties because I assume Christopher Nolan had always wanted to use Batman as an actual knight, which is why he's using Knight for the second and third movie titles, and the Bat-pod was like his steed, imo. It's something I read about a couple years back and I hope that is how Nolan wanted to portray Bats as it's a very interesting idea. I do agree with the over-usage of fear. It was nice for Ra's and Bruce at the beginning, but I didn't like how almost every single character mentioned fear somewhere within their dialogue. The writing was pretty good in BB, but could have definitely use a touch up. And to be honest, I think that was on Goyer as I had no problem with the dialogue for TDK. Sure, Goyer made sure Nolan kept a cape on Batman and what not, but Goyer, to me, seems more like an idea man and less of a credible screenwriter.

I know we're getting off topic but I have to put my two cents on this.
Quote:
I totally agree. I caught that when the 2nd TDK trailer premiered back in Dec. '07'. Remember it opened with Batman riding on his batpod. I remember thinking to myself seeing that image "The Dark Knight". It really felt like Batman was a knight with his cape blowing in front of the camera or frame. Plus the batpod works better than the tumbler as a vehicle for Nolan's Batman, imo. It's faster and cooler. Plus it's nice to see Batman riding a bike for a change. I'll get back on topic. |

For some reason, I really want to make fun of people who think the Inception score is the best thing ever. That's so wrong.
For this, it'd be interesting to see what James Horner would do. |

I don't think the Inception score is the best thing ever, but I really think the track "Time" is the best one.

While the Inception score wasn't the best thing ever indeed, it's really catchy.
Seen this yet btw? Little bit off topic but whatever. It's hilarious imo.VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

The Dock Ock theme is definitely my favorite!
btw, a random question: SMH12, how many posts did you have to have before you could have an avatar that size?
