That's what kills me, they're not really doing anything to release the series on BD. But at the same time I feel like it's only a matter of time before they do.

Yeah i know the feeling. I really wanna buy some TV-series box sets and whatnot, but at the same time i really am waiting for the companies to realize that Blu-ray tv serie release = KA-CHING!

Now perhaps im mistaken, but how much good will Blu-Ray really do these pre-Justice League DCAU shows.

B:TAS, S:TAS and a portion of Batman Beyond were all cel based, ink and paint without digital colouring. Surely all Blu-ray would do is show up the dirt more clearly.

And Bruce Timm has already stated he doesnt want the cels to be remastered, in case the shows lose some luster, certainly in Batman: The Animated Series case.

Is there anything in this new release that hasn't already come out? I already have the Seasons sets, and both versions of ROTJ...I don't think it would be worth 100.00 to watch Bruce Timm crack wise at some dorky moderator again, while Dini sits quietly nearby in his chair.

Well apparently there is 95 minutes of new material... but as we know that probably consists of a new featurette or two and the rest filled with ''previews' of already released DVD's.

What I don't understand is why all the Batman properties get this special treatment with their complete series release and Superman got nothing like what they we're given.

the only series I'm prepared to get on dvd is spectacular spider-man, other than that I am just going to wait for the blu ray editions.

I love the look of this set, and how it contrasts the Complete TAS set, but its way too expensive to actually get.

Besides, I already own the series.
