i'm guessing it will be in fact the new fighting game. just by how they went about it and with all these rumors surfacing in the last few days.

Kojima will be there to show off Rising and I am going out on a limb that he announces MGS5 as PS3 exclusive.

Yeah, I don't see Metal Gear Solid 5 being a PS3 exclusive. The days of third party exclusives are over unless the console manufacturer puts some kind of restriction like Microsoft and Final Fantasy XIV.

I don't see MGS5 being an exclusive, and I also don't see Kojima announcing it at the VGAs. He recently said that they're currently in production of some other game. "Project Ogre", I believe and that they probably won't start MGS5 until that's finished. Of course the trend in Japan seems to be to announce a game years in advance of its release, so I guess there is a small possibility. I still don't think it's happening though.

People forgetting about Kojima's Zone of Enders which has an HD collection coming out soon? Its not uncommon for those to precede a new entry to a series.....Just sayin

the problem i see is the characters just dont seem to mesh, capcoms all have a similar look and style as do nintendos, sonys characters are so varied it would just look extremely random and strange

I don't think it matters.Do Resident Evil and Viewtiful Joe have anything in common?No but it works fine in MVC3.This is who I think should be in the game

I think the game will have clear direction in its art style that will help it to mesh anyways. I think judging by the Sweet Tooth model they'll go for a cartoonish look that means Sony's army of platformers (Ratchet, Sly, Jak, Sackboy... BUBSEY) can retain their look and fit in with slightly less realistic versions of Kratos and Nate etc.

Not sure, but Game Trailers is also announcing a PS3 exclusive game this Thursday. Either way, it looks like this is really happening. Hope the controls are tight.

The game has been all but confirmed, with the game expected to be announced Thursday. A page on Facebook has also been put up, and the game is expected to feature characters from seven different PlayStation titles.

I can't wait to play as Nathan Drake against Kratos!
