That's brilliant, as usual.

Newmar's quote about Robin "Who cares? Just kill him, he's annoying" is hilarious. That was exactly Catwoman's attitude in the show.

I remember one episode where she's trying to convince Batman to let her be his romantic side kick in crime fighting and Batman says "What about Robin?", to which Catwoman responds "I'll have him killed. Painlessly. Well he is a bit of a bore with his holy this and holy that".

Julie set the bar way too high for Catwoman... Meriwether and Kitt just paled drastically in comparison.

Yes, she was great - and as this article explains, a pioneer.

She was born to play the part... I really think she was just playing herself and thats fantastic. You just have to hear her speak.

I don't agree about Meriwether. I think she was just as good as Newmar but in a different way. Lee's Catwoman was more straight forward evil, and she's the only Catwoman on the show who managed to steal Batman's heart and have a legitimate claim to a romance with him.

She also looked closer to the comic Selina than the other two did.

I agree with Pfeiffer Fan. Meriwether and Kitt had their strengths and were pretty good, but Newmar is on a higher level by comparison.

Probably because Ivy was such a new character at the time. The show premired in January of 1966, Ivy first comics appearence was in June 1966.

I've got my fingers crossed that this new merchandise deal leads to DVDs. An SDCC reveal would be beautiful.

Plus Louie the Lilac was kind of a Poison Ivy-type villian.

Louie the Lilac was a hilariously bad villain. His plan didn't even make sense in the campy Batman world. He could take over the world by getting the flower children under his influence?

It's almost as bad as Joker thinking he could take over Gotham by becoming king of the surf!

I love how they used the blue opening shot of Batman for the flare shot in TDKR's trailer.

Oh man I knew they'd do it eventually. Thank you hot toys for not letting me down. Now I will patiently wait on a Frank Gorshin Riddler figure.

Their tumbler has a retail of $469.99 while the 89 Batmobile retails at $629.99 so I imagine this one will be somewhere around there. I'm really not sure why the 89 Batmobile costs more than the tumbler.
