Watched this again for the first time in many years and boy did I laugh my ass off at Riddler's stunt double in the Bruce Wayne kidnapping scene. So terrible.

Yeah, I don't see any specific comments about her. This is the only time I've seen Julie talk about her:

Her comments about Anne I linked were made after Anne was officially announced as Catwoman for TDKR. She had faith in Anne to deliver. So did Michelle Pfeiffer.

They are wonderful... but I always chuckle when they are asked those questions.

It's like, what else are they gonna say? They aren't going to bad mouth the respective actress.

Yes, but I think they are genuine in what they say. They could just make a brief response like "I think she'll do a good job" or something like that. But they put love into their answers. Julie said she adored Anne. She called Anne gorgeous, and sweet, and said she had many other acting abilities, and that she'll be splendid.

I thought she was saying she was one of the great actresses from her generation, but I pick it up wrong.

Yep. And Julie did put thought into explaining her take on TDKR's Selina characterisation, showing she has an understanding of the character. I like Julie and her Catwoman, though at the same time, if she didn't like Anne's performance it's not like we need her seal of approval to like what we like.

Probably not...

Most actors don't like others stepping on thier own iconic territory. They just put on a brave face.

Even Adam West (Who HASN'T seen BR) couldn't give Michelle Pfeiffer a full compliment:

''I though Michelle Pfeiffer's performance was quite good. She took what Julie and the others did and added to that''.

Watch it there Mr. West, you might hurt yourself.

Burt Ward has seen Batman Returns. He didn't like it at all. He said it was too violent. He didn't comment on the actors though. Yvonne Craig didn't like Returns either, but she liked the first Burton movie.

Some actors will. Christian Bale didn't really badmouth his replacement on the Newsies musical. I was bored at work one day and skimmed through an interview he gave with EW I think it was, and he said he had no interest in it and didn't even know who was playing his character. Not a ringing endorsement, but not exactly an insult I guess.
