Damn. This show is obsessed with casting Desperate Housewives cast members.

May not bode well for that show.

Eh. Both of the guys have been long gone from the show, and Strong is just the narrator. I'm sure she can still do both jobs.

TNT has greenlit the series and released a cast photo. Didnt know how many DH people were part of this show.

Quote:

TNT has ordered to series and set a premiere timetable for its continuation of the iconic Dallas saga.

The new series featuring faces both fresh and very familiar will bow in the summer of 2012, the network announced on Friday. But seeing as that feels so, so far away, fans can get a sneak preview of Dallas this coming Monday, during the season openers of The Closer (9/8c) and Rizzoli & Isles (10/9c).

what will the stories mostly be about? oil barons getting richer each year? we see enough of that in the news..

I see it's only a 10 episode commitment.. I wonder will they bother with a cliffhanger..

..no more dream seasons!

I wonder will there be a cameo by a former president..

it's 2011..where's the ethnic diversity in the cast..

from what Ive reading its going to be about the future of Ewing Oil, as it relates to a changing global economy, the rise of alternative fuels, and the general drama that comes with hot wimmenfolk around

if the show is good, no one is gonna say s*** about ethnic diversity in the cast

I'm sure JR has, at some point, ****ed a woman of every ethnicity known to man. You want diversity, that's diversity!

That theme song.

And, you know... Julie Gonzalo and Jordana Brewster, of course.

So Charlene Tilton has not been asked back to the show? Unless she's quit acting or has really let herself go the last 20 years, I don't know a reason why she wasn't asked back.

IMDB can be wrong sometimes.

We'll see. She wasn't announced as part of the cast.

They mention Cliff Barnes. An appearance by Ken Kercheval perhaps?

I don't really get why everyone reporting on this is referring to it as a reboot. It's not like BSG or Hawaii Five-0 where they're just completely doing their own thing. This is like Dallas: TNG.

I felt bored watching the trailer, as if nothing has really moved on since we last left the Ewings. Sure, some of the characters may have changed, but it feels like it's just the 15th season after an extended break, that's all. I'm not sure I feel like revisiting this.
