I think this is the closest thing to a live action Batman series we are going to get. And it was good. Hooked. Can't wait for the next one.

Funny, that was pretty much what was going through my head when I was watching the episode. They seem to share a some elements in common.

-Man goes into exile after finding out that the one closest to him was killed.

-Someone comes offering him a way out and "the means to fight injustice".

-He has to take down dirty cops.

-Maybe I'm just guessing, but maybe Taraji Henson becomes sort of a female Jim Gordon-type character who helps Jim Caviezel's Batman-type character.

Anyways, I'm just guessing.

I really liked this show I plan on watching it and I wonder if the whole man in the suit is going to be a running theme among the bad guys busted.

Started a little slow for me but the second half of the episode was interesting. Definitely getting a Batman vibe from it, which is funny considering Caviezel was a lot of people's choice for Superman back in the day.

I'll give it another couple of episodes before I totally buy in.

I wasn't too impressed. It was boring to me. The best part was when Taraji P. Henson showed up, looking pretty sexy in all black. I kept flipping back from X-Factor to see if I could catch her again, but no dice. I like Jim C okay enough, but the other dude is no Higgins or Alfred for that matter. Also didn't care about the pretty prosecutor whose life is in danger. The story just felt meh.

I thought it was pretty damn good. The final scene were the crooked cop was threatening Jim Caviezel's family and friends was awesome. Just loved Jim's dead pan response and then we see the flashes from outside. It's a really well shot show.

Side note: Was Odd Jobs officially canned?

Dammit, there were way too many shows and new seasons premiering on one night and I totally forgot about this one...

I have my DVR to record the pilot re-air on Saturday, if I don't get a chance to see it online.
