So thats 3 new American shows just starting that are remakes of British shows, Being Human, Skins and Shameless. Wow US TV land is really creative........

Being Human and Shameless are pretty great so far over here in the US don't know about Skins tho.

I've watched the BBC version of Being Human but not Shameless which is good because I'm watching it with an open mind and loving it.

My favorite new show and this one too but their not really new I guess.

The original version is really worth watching, but the series is shorter (6 episodes for series one, 8 for 2), so if you don't want to potentially spoil the American/Canadian series (considering so far the American series has been following the British series extremely closely with only a few changes to the plot...)...

But it is a good show. It has the humor and charm the American series is missing.

Skins is kinda stupid here in the US. The whole fun of the show was that it was about British teens. The gay kid of the series is just bland compared to Maxxie. For me, the series ended after the second series.

Seems you guys only understand us if we talk in those silly posh accents which only a few people in Britain have anyway.

We have are tv filled with American shows for the last 60 years and we learned how to understand all your different accents which is why most brit actors can do American accents easy.

Only anglophile american actors like Johnny Depp can good brit accents.

A lot of British humor goes over my head and is way too dry. Shaun of the Dead being a perfect example, but I've found Skins to be be absolutely amazing.

I'm perfectly fine with British humor (or is it humour?), considering I've been watching "Top Gear" and "Fifth Gear," both UK shows, for most of the past decade. Top Gear has an American version that started this season, produced and written by the same crew that does the UK version, but I prefer the UK version MUCH better (insofar).

I also finished all the seasons of "Survivors" on Netflix recently.

There's definitely some cultural differences, as well slang terms that will likely go over the head of the average American viewer (hence the need for remakes). On the flipside, American slang terms are easier for the average Brit to understand (or eventually get), considering our culture is our biggest export in America (via our movies and TV shows). Don't forget about "Life on Mars" as well.

The new series currently being shown in the UK, Series 8, has 22 episodes....

I was wondering why Aiden and the other vampires could walk during the day. I guess their answer is that they evolved. I'm satisfied with it. Great episode the other night. I wonder of Josh has super strength all the time or only when he gets pissed off. Or maybe he grows stronger as the full moon approaches? I'm not too knowledgable on werewolves.

In the original British pilot he talks about his senses getting keener and getting stronger the closer it gets to a full moon.

I watched the first three episodes and I have to say half way through episode two I was really bored. I LOVE the real series, it's one of the high points of the TV year and possibly the only reason BBCthree was invented for. I just felt it wasn't trying to be it's own thing. There wasn't really any humour in the show and it was all brooding and American George(not a damn clue what his name is) looking gormless.

Episodes three on the other hand was really good. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would judging by the previous two episodes and I'll keep watching.

1. The ghost's lover was the one who killed her (accidentally) in her life.

2. Adin (that guy from the star wars games and smallville season 8) kinda almost blew his cover at hospital

3. Did the Priest get ''put down'' cause he lost his fangs?

4. I like this show...but more I think about it, the better the English show may be. Sam Witwer (Adin) and the guy playing Bishop (who played Satan's first vessel last season on Supernatural) make this show ''watchable and interesting''. IMHO.

This show won't last long! After hitting a high of 2-2.1 million viewers for 2nd eppy...the show has fallen since to last nights 1.086. I think the bubble is gonna bust if it doesn't go up next week.

Caught up with all the episodes. I'm really into this show now. Cindy Sampson (Supernatural's Lisa) guest starred last night. Not sure if she is a recurring guest star or not.
