Only just watched the episode where Josh goes home. Bloody different to how the real series handled George coming home. But the highlight of that episode was at the end where Adian was telling Josh about what would happen.

I really saw them trying the comedy here as well. I dunno, it's just not working for some reason. Maybe I'm too in love with the real one and it's characters and how they'd react to things. I mean I do like this version, it's not as bad as it started out being. I just don't think they have the right mix of comedy, drama, fantasy and dullness that the original has down to perfection.

Maybe it's all up to which one you followed first. I watched this one first and love it. I eventually got around to watching the British version, and I prefer the US version MUCH more. I just think the British counterparts lack the charisma the US actors bring, with the exception of the ghost.

The British version's plot is every where. It feels like a kid with adhd writes the script.

How did you guys feel about the werewolf design? I thought it was pretty unique, and didn't look as fake as I was afraid it would.

I thought the design was fine. I'm not one to nitpick at stuff like that. I'm more interested in the characters and story than visual effects.

Haven't seen the last eppy or the ratings for it, but the past two weeks (after V-day) have gone up from the series low on V-day.

Last week's was a 1.4 07 MIL VIEWERS with a 0.6/2 in 18-49.

Good news and bad news...ratings are in for yesterday's eppy.

Good: Being Human goes up in.

Bad: Being Human goes down as well.

Let me explain, kids

Up in overall viewers..down a bit in 18-49. It tied SGU(bad) in 18-49, and that show is canned. However, it had about a 300,000 increase in viewers over SGU.

1.460 with 0.5/1 18-49 Being Human.
1.035 with 0.5/1 18-49 SGU.

Being Human had an edge as well in HH. 0.9/1 vs 0.6/1HH for SGU.

I think Syfy will renew Being Human...but I'm not 100% sure. The show has technically increased 3 weeks in a row in overall viewers.

I have to say I really like this show, especially the Josh and the blonde nurse storyline. Josh really delivers on how alienated they feel being different. I like Aidan but man I hate all the sloppy vampire blood drinking/biting/sex stuff. I try to rationalize it by thinking of them still as primal creatures. I even like the American Annie now. They have really developed her nicely but I still miss the tea cups.

I'm glad it is coming back for a second season.

I honestly feel they delt with the vampire boy story better than the UK version did. I was always waiting on that coming back to bite him in the arse but here they actually did it. I really enjoyed what they done with it and have to say well done to them for doing something better than the UK version.

Question: Would the vampire boy have physically stayed a little kid forever or would he grow up to puberty and then stop aging? I have seen in books and other shows that in some cases vampires age.

It was a really good and powerful episode. Lots to think about, which is another reason I like this show because it tackles issues you normally don't see addressed with supernatural creatures.

Finally saw this weeks eppy. Very good.

As to the show being renewed...whew! Syfy must love the fact 53% of the audience is female. Yea...that makes it a primetime soap, technically. A blood soaked one with balls. Anyhoo,......uh, yea, I hope the rest of the season or season 2 rises a bit in viewers. This 1.3 or 1.4 million viewers it's settled at...ugh. Thankfully it's cheap to produce and is the most skewed(?) show in SYFY history (cause of 53% viewers are women)

But is there a UK version of Marcus? Cause the guy in the US version does his job perfectly, because I hate him lol, he seems more evil than bishop!!

Bishop should have thrown Marcus in the cage with Josh after the Dutch suggested bishop sacrifice some of his people

I dunno, Mark Pellegrino characters are usually god like and Bishop is no different.
