It's just physically impossible to have Reynolds play two different comic book characters. And, if GL is a hit Reynolds will never ever be able to star in another movie because they'll film part 2 and 3 back to back immediately after the first film comes out and he'll be booked for 3 solid years straight just doing GL movies!!111!!

I really believe that Deadpool won't end up happening with Reynolds and thats a shame really but I'm more psyched about Green Lantern than Deadpool anyway so I'd prefer a GL2 over Deadpool.

As for Lane Erica Durance is probably my favourite live action Lane yet (Dany Delany is my favourite Lane ever) so she's gonna take some topping for me.

Katie Holmes (Dawson Creek)
Blake Lively (Gossip Girl)
Kate Bosworth (Young Americans)

They cast from Wb/CW tv shows alot. Just throwing that out there

i also think it was Green Lantern that gave Ryan this chance to star in movies like Safe House with Denzel. Green Lantern really benefited Ryan, where as if he turned it down for Deadpool, he'll be stuck being B level.

That said, Natalie Portman is a great actress, and she could easily play Lois Lane.

Natalie can be amazing and she can be underwhelming. It just depends on the script and the director. Honestly besides Liam Neeson, Terrance Stamp and Ian Mcdiarmid WHO DIDN'T LOOK LIKE AN AWFUL ACTOR IN THE PREQUELS?


She's not my first choice, but I wouldn't hate it if she got the part.

The same with James Marsden who was in X-Men and Superman Returns plus we already had a skinny Lois with Kate Bosworth and people complained she didn't portray the tough as nails army brat version of Lois, with Natalie it'll be the same.

If she wasnt ALREADY in Marvel's Thor, I'd be all for this.

I can tell WB will either cast a BIG name actress for Lois Lane, or one who has a connection to a teenage demographic (Holmes, Bosworth, Lively etc).

If they want someone will similar star power to Natalie Portman, go with Rachel McAdams.

Rachel McAdams has been my favourite since day one, I hope we're seeing her lining up next to Routh in Man of Steel.

She's a similar Hollywood-level calibur actress to Portman.

I just don't want Portman stretched out between Thor and this. I actually want Thor to be a success; it has a great director.

As good as Portman is in the roles she plays, I don't think she has the range to play Jane and Lois as incredibly different.

They're both textbook love interest side characters (as was Padme Amidala) and I have a suspicion Portman would play them all the same.

The thing is though Thor might be a one off role and at the earliest a sequel to thor is probably 2014 if it does really well. I certainely like her more then the anne hathaway suggestion but its far to early to tell and I would think they may want there superman first but who knows.

Even if Thor has sequels, AND if Warners snag her.. I'm sure Kevin Feige would re-cast Jane. It's the type of thing he'd do.

But regardless, I'm hoping for Thor to make an audience impact, even with one film.

That being said, it would be weak if she appears as Lois in the Superman film after Thor.
