LOL , I know you like Iron Man alot, but even you have to agree they sucked. The Hulk game wasn't even that bad, even if it was a copy of Ultimate Destruction. So in a way, I have a gut feeling that this game will be fun, and actually warrant a buy.

I haven't had a good Cap game since 92.

well the fighting looks fun. as long as it doesnt get too repetitive the game should be decent at least

I can see the environments getting real old real fast. I was getting sick of those hallways just from that video.

I think the game actually looks kind of cool. I'd love to see a glimpse at a different style level, though.

You do have a point there...
I hope the environments will not all be "mountain complex"...

I just saw the walk throughs and this looks pretty darn cool. I hope they don't disappoint when the game is released like IM 1&2.

I agree. The demo vids on gametrailers.com looked quite good. I doubt it's going to be the greatest game ever, but it looks like it might be around the same quality of the Wolverine movie game.

The sad part is that most movie based games suck. The developers literally have no time to work on the games. They are kept in the dark about plot details from the movie writers, so often times the plots in the video games don't even remotely follow the movie. Sometimes they get around this by creating a "prequel" plot to the movie.

All and all I hate movie based video games. There's not one I could say is better than a game like Dragon Age. It's not the developers fault, they get paid alot to make these. It's really the studios fault for not giving them enough time or direction to make the game the way it should be.

If this game gets Wolverine type reviews then that would be a huge win.

I think they should just do original stories, get the basic outline from the studios and make sure they don't step on any stuff they are doing in the movie. And of course throw in all the movie costumes. Movie games that stay too close to the actual plot just turn out choppy and the game just seems to be a mess. Even Wolverine had it's bad moments.

Gamestop.com has this and the Thor game listed at $49.99 for the 360 and PS3 and $39.99 for the Wii.

Nice.

Marvels last game was 39.99. The Superhero Squad game. Not bad for the price.

I wish this game still had the collectable key chain.

Although I don't really like the fact that Sega is handling the game, I will say it looks to be a little more solid than Iron Man 2. The backgrounds kinda lack the level of detail that I think would be found in a castle, especially during WWII. The Captain America character modell looks good along with the Hydra soldiers, if anything, it'll be one of those games to just rack up a bunch of achievements.

Maybe that could easily be fixed by just adding more objects. The main problem I had was that the areas (especially the long corridors) looked too empty...
If I remember correctly, Arkham had a lot more stuff cluttered in the rooms and corridors of it's asylum...

Of course, that also means collision and polygon-count hell

Not only stuff, but there was also a ridiculous level of detail, hidden references etc. I mean, you could go to someones desk and read whole files of a clipboard that had nothing to do with the game at all, just as an additional level of detail.

You're absolutely right... Rocksteady did an AWESOME job for Arkham Asylum... It's gonna be difficult to top that...

Anyway, here's some first footage of the Wii game, a four-part walkthrough through the Hydra Castle:

Unless they pull the miracle that was Wolverine Origins this game has every reason to make me believe it will suck, really really hard.

While watching the gameplay video for the 3rd time, I did notice some stuff that was very comical, the fact that Cap bashed a guy in the head and the ragdoll effects made the dude seem like he was breakdancing. This game looks like it's gonna serve up more laughs than anything while I'm playing. Another win for ragdoll physics

The Wii version looks very comic and flashy. It's what I would expect for that console. I would probably try it on Wii, just for that part alone. But I know I'll buy the 360 version. It could turn out to be horrible, or something I have fun with. If not, I can always trade it in.
