Keep Forgetting to post my review of the Caps figures from Select and Hasbro
Comparing the Hasbro six inch CaptainAmerica to the Diamond Select Captain America the more ACCURATE figure of thetwo is the Hasbro Six inch when it comes to the First Avenger Movie Costume. The details notible right off is the SelectCap has no chin strap or Gun Holster flap/cover and isnt really scaled sizewise to Thor. The Select also sports a turtle neck that doesnt appear on thecostume for most of the movie excect on the USO costume and that was part ofthe USO cowl. The Select Cap can only sport the shield onthe right arm where the Hasbro can hold the sheild on either arm, but, theshield on the Select l has better paint to it. Another detail Hasbro has right andDiamond's detail is off, are the boots. Select has a secondary cover at the top ofthe boot around the shin that Hasbro is missing, but, it not only comes down tofar, the straps almost wrap all the way around the boot when they don't. Hasbro detailed the bottom of the boot betterthan Select (not that everyone would see this). Where actual hiking andmilitary boots have the traction knobs all over the bottom of the boot Hasbro'sHAS some and Select only around the edge of the sole. The best thing the Select Captain Americahas going for it is the fine detail it has on the entire figure. Dont get me wrong the Hasbro First Avenger ispretty detailed as well AND comes with the extra machine gun and grappling hookbecause the grappling hook in the train scene, but, the details just seemhigher or finer quality on the Select figure. Both sport detail where alot offigures wouldn't. Hasbro actually applied the whole outfit with a Kevlar look, and Select applied eyelets on the belt for example. Out of the two, if you can't afford bothAction Figures, the Hasbro Six Inch would be my pick if you are looking for allaround accuracy, and is worth the cash. Even if Select has a diarama and a RedSkull figure, Hasbro's Six Inch Cap is my pick of the two.
