I agree. My time is more valuable than the little bit of money that can be saved. The whole crazed crowd/selfish mentalities disgust me.

Work at Wal-Mart. Got Black Friday off, I get off tonight (Thanksgiving) at 1 am, so as soon as I clock out, I'm picking up my crap and leaving. Love my schedule for once. Got my Christmas shopping done.

i say it every year, and i still maintain that black friday represents everything that is wrong with humanity. it is nothing more than a day of greed and selfishness, entitlement, idiocy, rudeness and manipulation. black friday utterly disgusts me.

i got myself the $49 1 TB external harddrive from Staples.

my roomate got Uncharted 1 for $10 at Walmart when he went shopping at midnight last night.

and i used a $10 off $25 coupon at Macy's for a nice Marc Ecko shirt - ended up being $19 originally $60.

my cousin got the $69 2 TB external harddrive from Target. I'm surprised they were still available at 9am considering Target opened at 4am.

As much as I wanted $5-$10 dollar Blu-rays, Walmart can suck it. They decide to open up at midnight yet the actual sales don't start until 5 like most stores...wtf!?! That and the sales end at 11, that's stupid if you ask me. I understand they only have a limited amount of everything but if you're going to let people in at midnight you should have everything on sale at that point.

how does Walmart do it anyways? If people are wandering around buying stuff at midnight. Do they give out tickets or something for the 5am electronics doorbuster items? Do they make you wait in line inside the store for the 5am stuff?

That i'm not sure of. You would think they need to clear everyone out temporarily while they retag the stuff on sale. I know down the middle of the aisles they had pallets with a bunch of products wrapped up with signs saying that they won't be available 'til 5AM. I don't even want to imagine if people are just standing by those waiting to shove and snake whatever is in there.

I worked from 3:20 AM to 2:45 PM today. That's on top of working 8:00 PM to 5:30 AM on Weds/Thur. I feel fantastic.

I was in Toys R Us this morning (and we got there at 9, hell no do I shop at 4am for anyone), and the line was all the way to the back of the store. I heard a woman tell her kid "Forget it, I'm not going through this just for some Legos!"

Toys R Us was amazingly organized, though. That long line took maybe 10 minutes to get through, and we got some decent deals. We went to Target and the Disney Store too, stopped for lunch, and we were home by 1pm.
