Liked the trailer, though the captions were Michael Bay like.

Damn. Guy Pearce is a BOSS. Oscah!
Gary looks to be a scene stealer too. |

I like what I'm seeing, even though the editing of the trailer feels a bit off and too much, the visuals looks stunning and with the cast, the performances is surely one part I'm looking forward to, Oldman looks like a boss wielding that Thompson sub-machine gun.

Found the trailer finally and yeah it looks really great.
Shia seems to be doing great for all the misgivings people usually give him towards his acting. Pearce and Oldman looks pretty darn incredible. Hardy is doing his thing and quite well. He's mastered the entire big, brooding and dangerous schtick. Solid acting all around.

Can't play it on my iPad.
Sometimes I really hate this thing.

Trailer looks as fantastic as I thought. Hillcoat and Cave rules, love the photography in Hillocoat's films, beautiful stuff. And that cast!

I feel bad for the dude who plays the third brother. Barely got any airtime nor any credit.

It seems like he goes out fairly early into the movie.

The other brother has great material in the book. I hear his wife is cast in the film so he'll have a little something to work with. Hopefully.

The cast alone is convincing enough but Gary Oldman pumping someone full of lead is just full of WIN.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked on the trailer but colour me impressed. The dusty depression era Deep South cinematography really jumps out and the performances and action look strong, Pearce seems to be dipping an early rod into the best supporting actor Oscar pool.

*Phenomenal* trailer....VERY excited for this film now. The 1920s moonshiner setting combines elements of Westerns and old-time gangster films....and that cast has Oscar bait written all over it. This one might well be one they'll be talking about in awards season....hope so.

Great trailer. I'm looking forward to Shia's performance the most. I know the others will be fantastic already, but I hope he holds his own.

Think this will be the definitive movie to show whether Shia stays in the business for the next 20 to whenever years.
He's been in a lot of great family movies and he's had one big franchise...but this is his first legitimate film. Time for him to shine!

I think he has kinda proven that he's capable of range in Wall Street 2, but the mediocrity of that movie sucked him in. This a better opportunity for him. So yeah, I agree with you.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints was pretty legit....but I agree with the general point that this one will be an important moment for Shia's career.

Forgotten about Guide. He needs more roles like that. Glad he's out of the TF franchise, it's hurt him big time (in terms of talent and appeal).

People give him too much crap for Transformers but he can certainly act.
