Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Single best ending in cinematic history.

"Knock on Wood." Another great Danny Kaye movie. Kinda like "North By Northwest" but with a very funny comedian instead of Cary Grant. I can see why Kaye was such a huge star back then. I probably preferred "The Court Jester" though, it felt like a precursor to "The Princess Bride."

"Spider Baby." "The Addams Family" meets "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Nice little dark gem, I can see how it influenced a lot of film makers.

"Deranged." (1974)
Another take on the Ed Gein story that inspired Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Silence of the Lambs and probably other films that I don't know about. There's a great performance by Roberts Blossom in the lead role. I had never heard of him before and he was particularly creepy. A good little cult horror film, not for the faint of heart.

The last great movie I've seen (again) was "Soylent Green" and speaking of green, the last great trailer I've seen was "The Green Lantern."

^ Great Film
I was particularly moved by Andrew Garfield and Carey Mulligan's powerful performances. And Romanek's visuals were really beautiful. I haven't read the books yet, but so far between this and "The Remains of the Day" (another favorite of mine), I really love Kazuo Ishiguro's adaptations on the big screen.

Cool. It's really hard to adapt a good book on the screen. Kudos to Mark Romanek and James Ivory.

The Tin Star.
A great western, recommended by C.Lee, a film and Western expert.

The Wages of Fear
Fantastic movie. I'm still on the fence about the very last scene. On one hand it pissed me off, but on the other hand I think it was an interesting way to end it. |

Awesome film. I love Charles Vanel and Yves Montand in it. I still haven't seen "Sorcerer" the William Friedkin remake.
