well you have a long ways to go to catch up it sounds, but it only gets better after the time skip (manga wise anyway)

Animewise it became better because of the cooler soudtrack and animation, but plotwise there were a lot of missed oportunies and things that could have made the story better, from the Akatsuki being troled to Sasuke's personality constantly changing.

So the war has started in the anime and the two episodes we had so far were great. From the preview I saw of the next one, it seems it will be awesome too, covering Sai's past with his brother and the conclusion of the battle of the ambush squads.

Anybody been reading this? The film is coming soon, so Tobi's identity may be revealed soon.

I'm always reading. Tobi is such an annoying villain to defeat. Someone you can't touch must be really frustrating. But he is still awesome.

I have a feeling that his face won't be revealed until he is defeated. And I think that is only going to happen if they defeat the Juubi.

I'm still kind of irked that Itachi was the one that was so easily able to essentially end a major part of the war by sending all of the dead souls back. I mean could the author's love for the two Uchiha's be any more evident?lol

In the Naruto forums they're still irked that Itachi became good, by the way, is it just me or the latest chapter's little late.

It's the golden week or something like that. No chapter until next week.

so Tobi has Obito's eye, i'm begining to believe all those Obito theories, however he must have already been an adult when he fought the 4th hokage.

The chapter of this week was released sooner.
As for Tobi, I still don't think it's Obito. Just his eye.

Tobi said to Konan that he founded the Akatsuki, that he gave the Rinnengan to Nagato and, apparently, Madara knows him. He must be older to, at least, have given Nagato his eyes.

Tobi can't be Obito. The timeline just doesn't match. My guess it's either a relative of Obito, maybe the father. He clearly knows Kakashi and the intent is there. If not that it could be Madara's brother. I know Madara said he killed him but that's my crackpot pick for Tobi.

Regardless of what happens with Tobi and Edo Madara I think the wildcard in all this Orochimaru. I think he's going to be a force to be reckoned with by the end of this war.

But did Madara really say that he killed him? Or just that he took his eyes?

Well technically speaking it was Tobi who said that so since we never heard the real Madara saying on what he did with his brother, it could always later be revealed that Tobi was Madara's brother who had warped the truth.

My bet is still on Izuna.

Kishi could troll us and switch back to Sasuke or the Kages for another 100 chapters before revealing.

I think we'll get the Sasuke chp next week and then we'll find out who Tobi is for the 600th issue.

I'm almost certain at this point that it's Izuna(madara's brother)

Mainly it's the age he fought Minato at.
The motivation to be called Mardara.
The lack of eyes(thanks to his brother) making him seek out obito's one.
Using Kamui fully due to his heritage.
Madara is still alive thus a reunion is no doubt on it's way.

Kishi is pushing the obito thing to obvious at this point for it to actually be the dude.

Bet on it.

I think Kishi will reveal him next chapter. Then 600 will be destined to the Juubi finally emerging.

I think his story will only be explained after he is defeated.

Yeah, it's usually right before so and so's defeat that they explain the backstory. I really hope it's Izuna though. You can do a lot with him.

I can't buy at the moment the original Obito is the one that ended up becoming Tobi since not only was Tobi presented in being much older than what Obito was supposed to be when confronting Minato during the night that the Nine Tails was released, but it was also stated that Tobi was the one that gave Nagato is Rinnegan, and Nagato is roughly the same age as Minato.

Young Obito seems to have a whole lot of similarities with Young Naruto in the "yearning for a girl that doesn't really care that much about you" department.
